This is not a one shot. This is a very short chapter one. I'm not sure if I want to continue this story, so review with your opinions. If you want more, I'll write more. :}

"Slytherin!"
Zen sighed with relief as the tattered sorting hat was removed from her head and she was able to waltz toward the cheering table where everyone was wearing green. What a lovely colour, she thought.
She found herself sitting at the front of the Slytherin table with a couple of gossiping girls and three boys who were looking quite bored. She couldn't take her eyes off the boy in the middle, whose blonde hair was loosely slicked back and eyes that were grey, seemed to be wandering, as hers usually did.
Another student, a young boy, was sorted into Slytherin. As the table erupted into applause, Zen kept her eyes on the boy in front of her. He clapped for a single moment and almost as quickly lost interest, letting his eyes wander again. This time they landed on the dreamy eyed, cherry haired girl sitting across from him.
He looked slightly to the left then back at Zen and snapped, "What are you looking at?"
"I quite like your eyes," she said.
The boy stared at her for a moment then nodded, as if to say thank you or maybe he just didn't know what to say at all. Zen smiled and turned her attention to the remainder of the sorting.
