Ok it seems that a lot of people seem to like my poems and thanks you all for your reviews! Oh and those waiting for my to update Monkey Tail I'm working on it right now and hopefully get it up by this weekend, but no promises.
Mind&Heart
As I lay here in bed,
my eyes slowly closing.
I scold myself
for being so naïve,
for trusting my heart
Choosing it, over my logic
only at night can I see
all the obvious mistakes I've made
But every time I think you can do me wrong,
My heart hurts;
as if its been poisoned.
And my stomach turns;
as if my thoughts sicken it.
I have no one to turn to,
no way to cheat my way though
I'm caught in a blur of colors,
not knowing which path to take
Whether to listen to the mind or heart.
The heart knows the mind is wrong
And the mind knows the heart is wrong
I side with my mind,
agreeing to forget you
but once again my heart aches
as if it knows, I'm lying to myself
as if it knows I can never get you out of my mind
as if it knows I always want to see you smile
It knows I always want to be with you.
