Racing across the pitch Scorpius tried to keep his eyes on the blur of gold that fluttered wildly a few feet in front of him. He wasn't used to flying at Quidditch speeds and knew that if this had been a proper game he would have no chance at all of catching up. Swerving up sharply he cursed quietly under his breath as the golden blur now headed into the glare of the setting sun, causing him to shield his eyes. Almost as if it noticed his discomfort it double backed over his shoulder the little wings brushing his cheek almost teasingly heading down towards the stands. Being able to see properly again Scorpius caught back up to the few feet distance he'd been keeping up since the start.

Passing over the small spectator stands he noticed someone sitting in the back row and slowed a little realising it was Harry. Feeling nervous at being watched by the Potter families best flyer he slowed down. The little golden ball shot over to him buzzing around his head twittering loudly as if it was annoyed at not being chased.

"I know but he's watching"

The ball bumped his head and whizzed off again leaving behind a few golden feathers that clung to his cloak. Sighing he leant back over his broom zooming after it as it turned sharply and headed down towards the stands.

"No no don't do that!" Flying forward with more determination he swooped to the ground and jumped off his broom. The ball was now fluttering around the man's head.

Reaching up Harry held his hand out flat letting the puffed up bird settle on his palm where it twittered again. Rushing up the steps Scorpius looked at him clearly scared.

"Mr Potter be careful!"

Snidgets were dangerously delicate little birds and a human grip could so easily crush their tiny bones if held wrongly. It was why they had been replaced with snitches for Quidditch so many years ago.

Raising the bird up to his face Harry frowned looking at it closer

"How strange…I thought all snidgets had red eyes but this little fellow has green"

Biting his lip Scorpius clutched his broom against his chest unsure weither to let out the secret or not. He didn't have to worry for long as the little bird fluttered over to the seat beside Harry changing back into a tall, young boy who was grinning cheekily at the shocked look on his Dad's face.

"Albus!"
