Yuugiou was created by Kazuki Takahashi. I feel really sorry for that man sometimes.

"I don't think he's completely unfeeling, Onii-chan."

With a frown on his face and brother at his side, Kaiba emerged from the immense KC building into an atmosphere so filled with hot, still air it felt like an oven. He ignored the weather as well as the few people walking past him on the sidewalk and walked proudly to his waiting car. All that occupied his mind as he made his way towards the door was concocting a new strategy to defeat Yugi in his upcoming tournament and a solution to a problem with the new Duel Disk prototype. Still thinking, he had been about to slide into the vibrating car before he heard the crunching of tiny rocks underfoot. Swiftly, his back straight and impatient words ready for whoever had followed him, he faced the person behind him.

A surprised girl was all he saw before him. When he had fully turned around, she flinched and looked as if she was about to run away. But instead she remained, her eyes quickly avoiding his. Kaiba would have left her there immediately, but he paused for a moment, knowing he recognized her from somewhere. He made a mistake in delaying.

"Um, Kaiba-san…" She stopped, her gaze fixed on her sneakers. Sweat, whether from the heat or her nervousness, sped down the side of her face. During this interlude, Kaiba decided it didn't matter who the young girl was, he was leaving. He was about the close the door when she looked up. She still looked very unsure, but resolve was beginning to fill her and she lifted her head.

"Kaiba-san, I love you!" For just a moment she was looking straight at him, but her bravery quickly faded. Just before she ran off, she remembered to make a quick bow.

With her gone, Kaiba slammed the door shut.

"What was that all about?" Mokuba asked as the car started to slowly detach itself from the curb. He looked puzzled and a little shocked, but as those expressions faded away, the tiny beginning of a grin formed in his right cheek. "Wasn't that Jonouchi's sister?"

"I don't know. I don't really care."

Kaiba then opened his briefcase and pulled out the plans for the new prototype, eager to put the whole insignificant scene from his mind.

To his frustration, he found himself reading the same line over and over again.

"I told him I loved him, but he didn't look any different from usual. I guess you were right."

"You did what?!"

I would never have touched Silentshipping if it hadn't been for ComputerFreak101's contest. I find this pairing unbelievable; it was hard for me to come up with a plot that both pleased me and kept the characters as themselves. But, I think this was an okay effort.

Now if only I could get over the temptation to make Mokuba the chauffeur.
