Disclaimer: Sirius and Remus belong to JK Rowling.
A/N: I was listening to Ryandan's "Like The Sun" and this little blip of a drabble appeared. Who am I to argue with the muses?
Like The Sun
By: Sinnamon Spider
Sirius is a star.
And not in name alone. He is brilliant, shining, cold and far, far away. They will write stories and songs about him for millenia. He sparkles, high above the common folk, and yet they reach for him and yearn for him with every fiber of their being.
Sirius is a star.
But if Sirius is a star...
...then Remus is the sun.
Bright and glowing, giving life, the earth moves with his every moment. He is closer, sharing his heat, and his rays illuminate even the darkest of corners. The world turns its face to him like a flower, drinking in every drop of his energy and warmth.
Remus is the sun.
But save for lingering moments at dawn and dusk...
...the sun and stars cannot exist together.
So dawn and dusk is all they can share.
