DES -TINY'S NEW TOY
It was twelve at noon. I was in the library looking around for a new book to throw my life into-since the last series I read my life got boring. I wondered for hours on in looking threw the teen section glimpsing at other books I have read in the past (Harry Potter, and American chillers).My name is Jake Shelton and the year is 2008. As I kept walking only paying attention to the books on the shelf I ran into a wall. I was dizzy only for a second and I shook my head to get focused. I looked at the wall and said "what the hell, that hurt a lot!"
Jokingly I lifted my hand and slapped it. When I set my hand down I looked up and saw one large thick book. I picked the book up and looked at the front. The cover for the book looked like an old poster. It had a wolf's head and a snake on it as well as a spider. In large letters it said (Cirque Du Freak). In smaller letters at the bottom it said (By: Darren Shan). "Well it, looks interesting." I said as I opened the book. In the book I read (The life of Darren Shan. Part 1-12.) I closed the book and said "well, I guess I found me a series."
As soon as I checked the book out from the library I decided to walk home. As I walked near a man (he looked elderly as well as odd and he had a cane in one hand) he stricken his cane on top of my foot and put pressure than he realest and started to walk away. You could tell from his eyes he meant to. I turned around and snapped "Why did you do that, jerk!" I was hoping he didn't --hear me but as I expected he turned around with the jerk of the spine and said with a twisted smile "Why I was not amused at that moment now run off before you find yourself into trouble." Then he pushed his cane hard against my forehead." As most would do I grabbed his cane meaning to throw it. All of the Sudan something in his hand started to glow bright red. It was a heart shaped pocket watch and instantly my hand started filling with pain. The old man just stood there laughing evilly. I ran home as quickly as possible to get aid with this burn.
When I got home I ran to the bathroom to find some meds. I then cleaned my burn. I looked at the burn and to my surprise it was in weird shape. It looked like a triangle with a stick at the bottom. More like a round top tent like at the circus. After I added ointment to the burn I went to read the book. I opened the bag and noticed a hole in the bottom, the book was gone! I went to my room flipped on the light being upset and all. I started to play the piano as for that is what I do every time I go in my room. I then decided to take a short nap. First I pinched myself to see if I was awake "Ow ….. Yep I'm awake all right." I belly flopped on to the bed when my head thumped something under my pillow "What s with my head being hit today!!" wincing in pain. I lifted up my pillow and stranger then all in the world the Book was there. Then I yelled "what the hell…. Where did that come from!!" I opened the book astonishingly enough there was a Note.
