Title: it's just pie and mash!
Characters: Peter and Chummy
Chummy looks at Peter through the reflection of the looking glass as she sits at the vanity fixing her hair and replaces her uniform cap. He's panting like he's run a marathon. "You're amazing." He then rolls off the bed to pull his work pants back up, tucks his shirt into them and snaps his suspenders over his shoulders.
"It's just pie and mash." She stood pulling her garters and stockings into place, then shimming her uniform skirt down and buttons the top up.
"But it's YOUR pie and mash." Without warning he wraps his arms around her back and kisses her ardently. "And I love you for it."
She chuckles and buckles her wrist watch up and checks the time it's half past noon. "I must dash and finish my rounds."
He too must resume work, "I have a meeting tonight won't be home until late."
They exit the building together into brilliant sunlight cascading through the tall buildings. "Glad you enjoyed your pie and mash."
"Whatever you're doing keep it up, it's amazing." He kisses her again.
She smirks and watches him leave heading towards the station. "Only if you knew, Peter." She waits until he's gone before she hops on her bike and rides off towards her next patient's home.
One week later!
Chummy dismounts her bike at Lacey's Pie and mash shop and enters it. "Hello" Mrs. Lacey calls out. "Ah, Mrs. Noakes, did it work then?" She asks.
"Oh, like a charm, yes he has no clue." Mrs. Lacey wraps her warm pies in a bag and gives her a discount because she's one of her best customers. "Well then see you again next week."
Chummy exits the establishment and rides quickly enough through the city streets to head home for her special pie and mash day. "Only if he knew."
Of course he knew, but why would he ruin a good thing!
