Canon: The Doctor only has 12 regeneration's, Plus a few from different sources.
~What if that changed?
Challenge:
-Doctor runs out of regeneration's.
-Companion shows up and uses the Power Of A Name to bring him back. Preferably Rose, but only for the regeneration.
~OR Time-Vortex Twist/Something else Imaginative.
-We don't know his name, so do what you want for that.
-Doctor revisits an old face. IE. Tennant, Eccleston(9th), War Doctor, Etc.
-One-Shot with a 3k word Min. OR A full-on story. Up to you.
-Third-Person Universal P.O.V.
-AU where Matt Smith (11th Doctor) Didn't become Capaldi.
-Companion up to you, only 1.
