Bear with me I switch between Edward and Bella, but you'll catch on. (:
There's something in your eyes
Is everything alright
'Bella?' Edward's smooth voice whispered through the quiet night. I'd completely forgotten where I was, and more importantly who I was with.
'What's wrong?' his expression tightening, as if someone or more realistically something. hurt me. I returned his question with a smile.
'I'm fine. I was just sidetracked' and with that he swept me off my feet, with one quick, but passionate kiss. I gasped for air when he withdrew, always leaving me craving for more. Almost like the feeling of an alcoholic tasting whisky after a long hot summer day. I smiled at the thought, knowing that I was Edward's whisky. Better yet his heroin.
You look up to the sky
You long for something more, darling
Giving her a soft and subtle kiss to reassure myself that she was still my Bella, the one who thinks I'm superman, the one who never asks for anything I could give her, though she wants what we both know I can't give without consequences, the one who loved me and my monstrosity irrevocably and unconditionally. I studied her face, which was staring at the midnight sky, searching for something. I groaned.
'What?!' she demanded. Snapping herself back to reality.
'Tell me, what is it you're looking for?' I asked in a monotonous tone. Knowing she probably wouldn't answer. I turned away from her accusing face, and focused on the damp grass.
I know that after tonight
You don't have to look at the stars, no no no
I touched Edward's cold and flawless face. Forcing him to meet my gaze.
Chocolate brown eyes met topaz eyes.
'Edward, do you sometimes find yourself lost in these stars?' He looked at me, puzzled by my question. Breaking the silent argument in our eyes, he stared at the sky, pondering.
'Yes.' He whispered a moment later, his voice filled with frustration. I grabbed his stone cold hand.
'Well, I was thinking, everybody sees these stars, they see the same sky and ask them for guidance, an angel to look after them. Light to lead them. Warmth to protect them.' I paused, reading his face. He was bewildered and surprise.
'And I find myself always wondering. How was I lucky to have my own personal star? Someone to take care of me, protect me, and love me.' I finished. He was still digressing my words. I seized this moment to surprise him. Wrapping my arms around his pale neck, I allowed my lips find his, tracing every sharp and perfect feature I stumbled upon. Finally reaching my destination, I let out a giggle and let him take over. Losing ourselves in each other, creating our own heaven.
I know by the end of tonight we're looking down upon them from heaven.
