A/N: I am listening to underOATH right now…they rock hard. But they have nothing to do with this story, 'Contentment'! I really didn't know how to approach this (because the first thing that popped into my head was Cho, and I am not writing about her again…I hate her), but then I thought…'What if Ron and Hermy FINALLY got together?' Then I said, "I hate Hermione's name…I always spell it wrong". Luckily, I have her name on spell check, so I can write a story about the canon that is RW/HG!

DISCLAIMER: Don't own nothin' but the storyline of this fic. (the defintition is from Wikipedia)

Contentment refers to the neuro-physiological experience of satisfaction and being at ease in one's situation, body, and/or mind. The freedom from anxiety, want or need.

Hermione opened her eyes , looking up into the sky.

'I must've driffted off again,' she thought to herself, yawning. She then felt the arms of Ron Weasley around her, and remembered that they were in the field next to the Burrow, on a mini date (it wasn't a real date because they didn't leave Ron's house area). Ron was snoring softly, and Hermione smiled. She knew that he could snore louder; she could always hear him from Ginny's room.

Ron's fingers twiched, a sign that he was about to wake up, and Hermione sighed.

She loved being in Ron's arms whenever she could. She went back to the day that they had announced that they were seeing each other. Everyone had made a big deal about it, telling them that it was about time. Honestly, Hermione couldn't see why Ron had waited so long when it was so obvious that he liked her. She chuckled, and Ron yawned, signaling that he was half awake.

"Hello, Ronald," she whispered, looking up at him.

Ron looked a little confused, but then, realizing where he was, smiled and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.

"'Ello, 'Mione. What time is it?" She looked at her watch.

"Er…we've missed dinner." Ron groaned. "Oh, but I bet your mum saved us some Shepard's Pie."

"They had Shepard's Pie without me? Thoes gits!" Ron yelled out into the night.

Hermione laughed. "They probably didn't remember we were outside. Come on. Let's go back." She got up, then attempted to help him up (he just shook his head, and got up himself). They brushed the dirt and leaves from each other, and walked, hand in hand.

"Ron?" She looked at him. He looked back, rasing a crimson eyebrow. "I love you."

Ron's ears turned red, as they did whenever she said it. "I love you too." Hermione stopped, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed him tenderly. Ron, slightly taken aback, kissed back, hesitating slightly. Hermione thought to herself, 'Why dosen't he just kiss back full on? It's not like we haven't kissed before!' She then laughed in his mouth, making him pull back.

"Bloody hell Hermione; I thought you were going to snog me, not laugh at my kisses!"

"Ron, I love you, but you really are bollocks at kissing!" Ron put on a fake hurt look.

"Aww, but I thought I was the best!"

"Nope, sorry." Hermione smiled, placing a kiss on his pouting lips. She then retook his hand, and they walked into the Burrow, being imeadiatley attacked by Mrs. Weasley's dissaproval of coming in so late. Hermione barely heard any of it, being so content. Ron, however, was cowering like a dog underneath his mom's yelling.

'Oh well,' Hermione thought, trying not to laugh. 'Not everyone can have the macho boyfreind.'
