Why is it every time Lois and I start to move to the next stage of our relationship we get interrupted. I spent 6 years pining for contact from Lana but was unable to do so for fear of hurting her but with the training with Jor-El I have better control of myself and like any red blooded male that has mainly lived a life of celibacy I just want to make love to the girl I love. Christ, perhaps I should just give up and become a priest.

"Why smallville, what's with the exasperated look?" she asks with a knowing smile. He can't blame me that the Blur needs my help and God knows I want to get down to the good stuff. Just looking into those baby blues and seeing his muscles rippling under that t-shirt just makes me want to jump his bones. No fore-play and no slow build up. I think I'm addicted to the king of plaid.

"Umm." He replies, stumped to come up with an excuse.

"Come and sit down, we need to talk." She responds while taking his hand and pulling him behind her.

"I'm sorry we keep on getting interrupted and you're going to hate this but I have to go." She timidly says afraid of hurting him.

"Is it anything I can help with?"

"I know we work together a lot at the planet and I don't want to lie to you, so I'll tell you what I can."

"The Blur needs my help!" She almost shouts out but notes an almost proud tone to her own voice.

"But I can't tell you any more, in fact I'm not sure I was even supposed to say that but I do trust you and I need you to trust me and let me help him. He's saved so many lives and we need to be there for him when he needs it."

Lois looks up expecting to see an annoyed Clark; she knows he's got some sort of issue with the blur as every time she brings him up he deflects the topic. But what she seeing annoys her, he's not annoyed, he's fuming.

Clark looks up into Lois's eyes and sees the sincerity and complete conviction in her choice. Clark just sits there pondering his decision, knowing not telling Lois that the blur she is speaking to is an imposter could put her life in danger. How can I stop her without telling her that I'm the blur? Whoever is phoning her could be for a joke but it could be far more malicious. It's not like I don't trust her with my secret and the longer I keep on lying to her the worse it will be when I do tell her. I certainly don't want this relationship to turn out anything like my last.

"Right smallville, if you won't even bother to respond then I'll see you tomorrow. Let yourself out later when you can form a sentence" Lois bluntly declares as she walks out the apartment.

Clark watches Lois leave and his features slowly harden, his brow furrows and his decision is made.
