Matt's 14 year old little sister Ashley has a nightmare one night about her brother. Can he convince her that he will never leave her?
Matt Casey just got off his shift at the fire house, he goes to his room to get ready for bed. A few hours later he is awakened by his younger sister Ashley screams and cries so he runs to her room and sees her tossing and turning with tears coming down her face. He goes to shake her and yells her name. Ashley! Ashley! Ashley! Ash! Wake up. Come on wake up. Matt yells. After yelling her name about 5 times her eyes shoot open and she sees her brother with his arms open and she jumps in his arms throwing her arms around his neck and burying her face in his chest soaking his shirt. Matt is holding his crying little sister while stroking the young girl's hair. Ash? What was your nightmare about? Matt asked gently. You. You had a call and you never made it back, leaving me all alone. Ashley said crying. Matt sighed. The last call they had was bad. Matt was in a building that was burning and the ceiling caved but he jumped out the way just in time. Ashley listen to me. Matt said strictly but gently. She looks up at her brother with her red and puffy eyes. I will never ever ever leave you. My job maybe dangerous yes but the guys look out for me and each other to make sure we all are alright. They know that if something were to happen to me they will take care of you. But I swear I will never ever ever leave you. You are my little sister and I will never leave you. Matt said. You, you promise? Ashley replied. I promise I will not ever leave you. I love you Ashley. Matt said. I love you too Mattie. Ashley said. You want me to stay or go? Matt asked. Stay. Please. Ashley said. Sure. Matt said. Ashley lays her head on her brother's chest and slowly falls asleep. Matt looks down to see if his sister is sleep and she is. He then kisses her forehead and lays his head back on the pillow going to sleep knowing that he promised he will never leave his sister by herself.
