It's as if the beeps, from one room to another even one simply across the hall, are talking.
Each beep is a message.
Sometimes they yell, sometimes they chat, sometimes they fight, sometimes they scream, and sometimes they are silent.
But every message delivered to someones ears are important.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Like the stable beeping from beside me on Henry's monitor. I look down at his little hand in mine.
No cure. No cause.
It kept echoing in my head.
Henry.
The baby boy I had, but never had.
I look up expecting to see Regina, only to see empty space.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
I sigh, where is the doctor with Henry's blood work results?
Where is Regina?
Why did I let him go?
I've missed him so bad, and I didn't even know I did.
Where is Neil right now?
He should be here, crying over our little boy with me.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
"Please wake up sweetie..I love you."
Yet there he lays, so peaceful.
Wake up, damnit.
I lean down and kiss his forehead.
The shock of the kiss literally reverberates on the walls.
What did I just do?
