Bayberry and the daisy

Hidden far within the depths of the fully grown forest Bayberry was sitting on a rock watching a withering bud of a daisy that was trying to open.

She took a few deep breaths, closed her eyes and started to talk to the flower.

"Blessings" she said, "I come to you with love and friendship. I'm not here to hurt you but to give you some of my energy to help you."

Bayberry placed her hands on the ground on each side of the daisy's stem and pictured a white healing light coming from the sky and going into her head, down her arms, and into the earth around the flower.

She pictured in her mind the roots of the daisy becoming strong and nourished. And the energy being absorbed by the roots was going up the stem making it vibrant and strong. Then she pictured the daisy turning up toward the sun and slowly opening up to a healthy bloom, full of vibrant color taking in the energy all around it and then slowly giving it back in return.

Bayberry slowly drew her hands away from the earth and opened her eyes. The daisy didn't seem to change or get any better. She placed her hand on the stem and smiled.

"I hope that I helped you and that you will live a long and abundant life my friend," she said.

"I must leave you now, blessed be my friend I will come see you again."

She turned and walked away and heads toward the thickets where she lives under the roots of an old oak tree.

A few months went by before she returned to where the daisy Was. When she got there, she could not believe her eyes! The daisy was tall, strong, and in full bloom. And not only that, but the field was now had many daisies growing there as well.

Bayberry walked up to her friend and once again took a few deep breaths, closed her eyes and began to talk to the daisy.

"Hi my friend, I see that you are doing well," she said happily.

"You and your family look beautiful. I am so glad to see that you are better. If you do not mind I would like to sit here for a while and enjoy the beauty you have brought to this field?"

She sat next to the daisy for an hour or so and then had to leave.

"I must go for now my friend, but one day I will return, I hope that you will talk with me someday. Blessed be and merrily may we meet again."

As she walked away, she thought she heard children playing behind her. Turning around she saw a light blue aura of energy over the field and she knew that all was well. As she turned around once again to go home she heard, "Blessed be my friend, you are welcome here anytime."

A warm comforting feeling came over her as she continued to walk home thinking that by helping someone who didn't ask, she not only helped them get better but she made a friend.
