You awake to the smell of something burning. Rubbing the sleep from your eyes you look around Dan's room and notice that he is nowhere to be seen. The smell begins to make you gag and offers enough motivation for you to pull back the covers and roll out of bed. You make your way down the hall to investigate, stopping by the living room to check if Dan is in there. Just as you envisaged, Dan is curled up asleep on the sofa with the Xbox controller still in his hands. You smile while taking in his beautiful, sleeping form before noticing the thick, black smoke coming from further down the hall. "SHIT!" You exclaim and run into the kitchen pulling open the oven door which releases even more smoke. Grabbing a tea towel, you pull out the tray and throw it onto the top of the oven; the contents black as coal.

"What happened?"

You turn to see Dan walking into the room, yawning and stretching.

"Are you trying to burn the place down?! What the hell were you even cooking?" You ask trying not to choke on the fumes still circling in the air. Dan looks confused for a moment and then realisation spreads across his face.

"Oh shit I was making brownies and I must have fallen asleep while playing Xbox."

"Why doesn't that surprise me?" You roll your eyes. "Why were you making brownies anyway?"

He walks over and wraps his arms around your waist and rests his forehead against yours.

"They were supposed to be an apology."
"Apology?"

"I wanted to say sorry for being a really sucky boyfriend."

He leans in and presses his warm lips gently against yours.

"What makes you think you've been such a sucky boyfriend?"
"Because I haven't been around a lot; with the radio show and my videos and everything else I've noticed I haven't been seeing you as much as I used to. I felt really bad for it so I wanted to make you something to say sorry." He explained and then kissed your forehead.

"You could have just ordered pizza." You suggest.

You both laugh and Dan leans in more and whispers in your ear "maybe I can think of another way to make it up to you."

Your heart begins to beat faster. Dan runs his hands up and down your thighs while kissing your neck. He pushes you back against the counter and you feel the warm of his torso against your body. His lips find yours and this kiss is much different to the previous one; more passionate. It takes every fibre of your being to push him away.

"Not just yet Howell" you say, your breathing staggered. You pick up your phone up from the side and hand it to him. "You need to order the pizza first."

Then you pull him back and force your lips onto his for another passionate moment.
