This is my first AkuRoku story I made. I made this late at night, so it isn't that good... And yes, Roxas is afraid of thunder. XD Well, I hope you like it. Yes, I know I have posted this on deviantart, but as most of my fans know, I am moving all of my stories here to fanfiction.

The rain tapped fiercely on the window. The wind howled outside. Thunder rolled, causing a small whimper from underneath pale covers. The room lit up, showing a large lump underneath the blankets. Right after the flash, the loud clap of thunder was heard. The boy slid out of bed, his feet tapping on the ground softly. He grabbed his pillow and a small blanket from his chair. He snuck across the dark room, opening the door slightly.

Another flash of lightning filled the room, causing the boy's blue eyes to close tightly. Despite that, the blonde continued out the door, not bothering to close the door behind him. He walked silently down the hall and found himself standing in front of a door with the letters "VIII" nailed into it. He gulped then slowly lifted a hand. He softly put his hand on the doorknob and twisted. The door opened without a sound and the boy walked inside. He closed the door behind him and leaned on it.

"A-Axel?" he called out softly to the darkness surrounding him. A shifting noise was heard as the sheets on the bed moved.

"Huh…? Wha?" asked a sleepy voice. The redhead turned towards the door. "Roxas? What are you doing here so early?" he asked the young blonde.

Roxas gulped. "I… I wanted to know if I could sleep… In here tonight…" he muttered softly.

A sighed escaped into the room. "Roxas… Why don't you sleep in your own room tonight?" asked the pyro.

Roxas looked at the ground. A slight blush was on the young blonde's face, not apparent in the dark room. "I… I can't sleep. My room is cold…" he explained nervously. He hoped the pyro wouldn't burn him or anything.

Another sigh came from the pyro. "Alright, Roxas. You can sleep in here tonight," he replied, shifting in his bed once more.

Roxas smiled softly. "Thanks…" he mumbled as he walked towards the bed. He laid his pillow on the floor then lay down, putting his head on the pillow. A bright flash lit the room, closely followed by a large clap of thunder. Roxas closed his eyes tightly and gripped the covers. A moment of silence slipped between the two Nobodies.

"Roxas, what are you doing down there? I thought you were sleeping with me tonight; not the floor," Axel finally said with a chuckle.

"I am sleeping with you," Roxas replied.

Another chuckle was heard. "Come on; come sleep up here tonight. It's much more comfortable than the floor," the pyro invited.

Roxas nodded and stood up, letting the covers drop off his bed. He silently slid into the warm covers, almost hanging off the edge of the bed.

"If you're cold, come here…" Axel said softly, pulling the young blonde closer.

Roxas buried his head into Axel's chest when another clap of thunder was heard. He wrapped his arms around the redhead in fear.

Axel chuckled. "You couldn't be here because of the thunder, could you?" he asked, already knowing the answer.

Roxas nodded. "Y-yeah…" he admitted sheepishly.

Axel chuckled again, ruffling the young blonde's hair. "It's alright, Roxas. With me here, there's nothing to fear, right?" he asked with a smirk.

Roxas nodded yet again. "I guess you're right…" he mumbled. He closed his eyes. "Axel?"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you." With that said, Roxas drifted to sleep comfortably in the pyro's arms, where he had always wanted to be. Where he thought he belonged. A small smile was on his young face.
