Prologue:

Hi, this is Danny Ketoro speaking and this is the story of my life.

Well, it looks like I'll start back from when I was sold as an egg to a school where completely mad scientists messed with my DNA and forced Avian DNA into it. I had grown up on the same dog crate my entire life up until I escaped. I had a mother-like-whitecoat brig me food when no one else would and would teach me things and other things like that. I would only talk to her and her daughter, Katie. Katie…I would have to say was one of the only nice ones that was nice at all. All the other white coats and their children would treat me like shit.

It was about 4 years ago when everything went wrong. That school started calling back all their experiments that they let wild. My mother-like friend told me that a girl named Maximum Ride had destroyed most of the schools around the world with the help with human children all around the world.

Then 2 years later, the school was running up and fully again as if it never shut down. So my everyday classes, exercises and other things that the mad whitecoats had us do went on again, and that's went I decided to make a run for it. My mother-like friend helped me escape and I told Katie to come with me, but she refused and said that she would stay with her mother. So I left her there, as the alarms were blaring. I looked back as I spread my wings out and looked into Katie's eyes to see fear and sadness spread over her face as I took off into the sky, leaving her there for the Whitecoats to ask her what happened. Oh…and I forgot to tell you that I'm 50% human and 50% Avian.

So here I am. Sitting alone on a building somewhere in New York, and I'm not telling you exactly where I am in the Big Apple, out of fear that a whitecoat or someone from the school might be reading. Not that I don't think a whitecoat or eraser might be reading, but you never know. So here I am, waiting for something to happen and waiting for someone. Someone I know I can trust with my life.
