A/N: This is a new style I've been messing around with - got bored one day in school and this happened, so... yeah :P Basically, Remus and Tonks post-OotP, the rest you should be able to figure out. Could technically refer to other couples, I guess, but it is intended to be Nymphus.
Disclaimer: Characters? Mine? Nope. Hers. No, not her - her over there -points towards JK Rowling-. Yeah, that's the one.
Simple
Bright smile;
Dark eyes;
That feeling in his stomach;
He knows her.
Scars and lines;
Tired and worn;
The sudden urge to cry;
She needs him.
Neither planned it.
Neither wants it.
Need drove them together.
One mistake.
He can't meet her eye.
She doesn't want him to.
Nothing is simple …
Everything is simple.
They kiss and they touch – why?
Because they can.
Their bodies writhe in perfect sync:
They're used to this by now.
Two mistakes. Three. Four.
Neither planned it.
Neither can stop it.
It's getting harder to try.
He knows her.
She needs him.
It's wrong.
It's right.
Her every move tempts him;
His eyes bore into her.
Both know, soon,
There will be no going back.
Another mistake, another night:
Fierce and reckless.
For a while, they forget their grief.
It's convenient.
The nights alone grow harder;
Nights together, more frequent.
Anything to avoid that talk.
They'll put it off forever.
When he leaves one day,
She tells herself she doesn't care.
While he's gone, she's alone:
She can do this.
He knows it can't go on;
Leaving is what they both need.
And it was never a permanent arrangement:
That was understood.
So why, when he returns,
Does she need his touch once more?
Why didn't time cure it?
Why won't he look at her?
Why hasn't space eased his need?
He can't look at her. He won't.
He knows he can't resist her.
It wasn't meant to be this hard to stop.
Weakness wins out;
Passion and heat.
She screams for him;
His body remembers her.
They lie there in silence, knowing:
The talk has to come soon.
Somewhere along the line, something has changed.
Nothing – and everything – is simple again.
A/N: Like I said, this is new for me, so I'm not entirely sure what I think of it ... any reviews, and concrit, are appreciated :)
