Road's End

There is always a road for us to follow. But then, there is always an end to that road.

-1This came to mind as I listened to one of the songs from the Lord of the Rings movies, but my mind was on Kingdom Hearts, so this ended up to be the final piece of work. It's a sad one, as my poems usually tend to be, but I hope you'll like it.

Road's End

As I walk down,

This long long road.

I look back,

And see all that I've done.

Adventures, trials, vacations, work,

All of these,

And more I've seen,

And done.

But the road has an end.

As I keep walking forward,

I keep thinking behind.

Soon I see,

The Road's end,

At Heaven's Gate.

I look back,

One more time, smiling,

Knowing that,

All will be well.

The Gate opens and I step through,

Into the light of the stars.

I nearly balled my eyes out when I wrote this. I hate writing about subjects like these, but I had to write this down. It wouldn't leave me alone. Well, I hope you've enjoyed it. Until next time.
