THIS IS A ONE SHOT ABOUT THE FINAL FIGHT BETWEEN THRESH AND CATO [FINAL 5; 74TH ANNUAL GAMES] SORRY ABOUT THE FACT THAT SOME PARTS ARE GREY... I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED OR HOW TO FIX IT. ENJOY! :-))
I pick up not only mine, but Cato's backpack as well. Hopefully, Cato will mourn over Clove's death for a while so I can get as for from him as possible before he comes after me. Suddenly, I remember that the backpacks might have helpful supplies in them. I am truly hoping for some kind of body armor. With that, I could become immune to Cato's swords, spears and knifes. I don't dare to open the back yet though. Cato will be on my trail very soon and I have to make plenty of distance.
I see the wheat and plants I recognize from home as I run. My mind wanders slightly. Home. District 11. I run about another 6 miles then break away my cave. I open the packs. In mine, I find body armor just like I wanted! I open Cato's pack. What? All it is is some ear pricing whistle that, as I know, makes animals stop from attacking you. I don't take any chances. I smash the whistle with a rock until it's in millions of pieces. I chuck the pieces into the nearby stream. I begin to put on the body armor. There is no face guard, but, I can make do. There is a loud clap of thunder and then a massive downpour begins.
I know I need to make more distance. I grab my pack and Cato's only because I know that I can probably use the bags for something else. I run another 6 miles. Find a cave. Run 6 miles. Find a cave. It's my routine. The rain continues the whole time though. Becoming worse and worse. This goes on for 5 days or so until I hear it. A branch snaps behind me. Now I see him too. I see Cato. We are the same height. I'm stronger though. I'm better fed. I'm the better tribute here.
Cato takes one look at me and swings his machete at my side. It has 100% no effect in me because I am wearing my body armor. So, I just stand there. Looking bored even. As he (as last) realizes that hitting me for the past 10 minutes has done next to nothing. So, he tries a new tactic. This time he pounces onto my back, forcing me onto the ground.
Now I'm fighting back. I hurl myself backwards and punch Cato's face until it is bruised... heavily. Cato is strong , just as I am too though so he squirms out of my line of fist. The amazing thing about Cato, is that with the punches I was throwing; he would be dead by now. The thing that I must ponder over later is how on earth he ripped off my body armor WHILE I punched him. Seems impossible to me. He takes the body armor and just throws it to the side. Now I'm running as fast as I can. He, obviously, chases me. He tackles me to the ground again as raises his sword. A slash down into my left shoulder makes me cry out in pain.
I jump to my feet. I take one look at my shoulder wound and decide I will worry about it later because its not too severe. Cato slices the sword in a large round circle before sending it towards my head. I dodge this because I saw it coming a mile away. I roll onto my side to avoid yet another fatal blow. I run. He chases. I'm tired not though. But, after almost a marathon of running (me being chased the entire time), Cato has out run me. I fall down with exhaustion as he raises his sword. It's not like he isn't in pain as well. He's bleeding. I'm bleeding. We're both bleeding. But as he raises his sword. I know this is the end for me. I will die. I can't describe the pain I feel, emotional and physical as Cato's sword rips through my chest
