I do not own Band of Brothers...
The security guard for the Arlington Cemetery was roaming the desolate grounds splattered with white against the manicured green in the late hours of the day. On one of the many hills he could make out the silhouette of a women kneeling by a grave. It was past visiting hours but out of respect he hesitated to disturb this ominous visitor. He slowly approached the sobbing outline to see that she was radiating something he could not place. Carefully placing a hand on her; so as not to scare her he quietly said "Excuse me ma'm but the visiting hours for the cemetery are until eight and it's ten. It's closed right now. I am really sorry, I don't want to bother you but it's their rules."
The sobbing women looked up, tears staining her face. Taking his helping hand she rose to show that her attire was more of a 1940s look; polka dot dress and all. Wiping a few tears away with her hankie she then said "No, you are just doing your job and I respect that. I just had to visit my husband before I left."
Looking into her face the guard was surprised to see a young woman. He would have thought that she would be in her 80's by the way she was dressed.
"Do you think you could escort me out? Sorry it's just so dark and I find that I will probably never find my way out." She asked, giggling.
"Of course, follow me ma'm." The guard said lending out his arm for her to take.
"Do you mind if I ask you what your name is?" The guard asked.
"Not at all, my name is Lorialie." She said looking up at him and then back at her hands.
Not knowing what else to say to this weeping widow he kept silent as he led her through the roads of the large cemetery.
"My husband was a brave man you know. Today is the anniversary of his death; I wanted to say hi to him. I even wore his favorite dress on me."
Nodding the guard asked "What was his name?"
"Eugene Roe. He was a medic." She said with affection.
The guard thinking this was all a little confusing because it sounded as though she was taking about a soldier in a different war like WWII instead of the Iraq war. The women came to a halt by the nurses' cemetery part and turned to him.
"I think I saw something move over there." She said pointing over to the other side where the navy men were buried. Taking out his flashlight he scanned over the section.
The women giggled at his stupidity and faced the grave in front of her, giving the guard one last look before touching the head stone.
When the guard could not see anything he turned around to see that the woman was gone. Looking behind a few graves he still could not find her. Coming back on the road he flashed his light onto where they once stood. Kneeling down he read the headstone.

The guard quickly rose up. He had just met the deceased Loralie Roe.
