Requested by Anon on Tumblr: Hi! I loved Purity Dissolution and I was wondering if I could suggest a prompt? Could you write about how the scene in Opening Excitation where Shamy is making out on the couch leads to the bedroom? Thank you!

I hope you all enjoy this prequel to The Purity Dissolution!

All afternoon Amy had prepared for this night. After shopping for the appropriate attire, she spent over an hour setting up candles and choosing just the right mood music. She hadn't known if this day would ever come, and now that it had, she wanted everything to be perfect.

She listened attentively as her boyfriend discussed his plans for the evening. Dinner out sounded nice, but they had done that many times over the course of their relationship. She was ready for dessert.

"Sheldon, I know your present is for us to be intimate tonight."

"I see. Is that all right?"

Amy leaned in and pressed her lips to his briefly before leaning back to guage her boyfriend's reaction.

"I'm sorry, but this is a litigious society. I'm going to need verbal consent."

"Yes!" She leaned in again, but he held up his hands, temporarily halting her actions.

"You know what, let me pull a quick contract off the internet..." He reached for the phone in his pocket.

Amy swiftly cut him off as her lips descended on his, her hands kneading the muscles of his broad shoulders. Sheldon melted into her, his hands gravitating to her waist.

"I missed this much more than I would have imagined," he murmured when they came up for air.

"Me too," she sighed happily. "And not just the kissing. I missed all of you."

"My shoulders, my soulful eyes, even my feet?"

Amy chuckled. "Yes, but that's not what I meant." Her tone grew serious. "I missed our intellectual exchanges, I missed our debates, but mostly I just..." she swallowed hard, "I missed hanging out with you."

"I missed all of those things too, but let's not think about that right now. Tonight is all about celebrating you." He cupped her face in his hands and placed a featherlight kiss in her lips.

"Sheldon?"

"Hmm?"

"Not to ruin the mood, but I need to know something before we take this any further."

"I brought protection, if you're worried about that. I couldn't believe how many varieties are available!"

"No, not that. I stopped by the drugstore too this afternoon, just in case."

"I love your preparedness almost as much as I love you," he murmured, leaning in again.

"Sheldon, wait. I need to know..." she paused.

"Need to know what?" He asked, his eyes searching hers.

"Are you... Do you..." She took a breath and tried again. "What made you decide that tonight would be the night? I mean, aside from our makeout session last week, we haven't spent much time together since we became a couple again. As excited as I am, I don't want our first time to be the result of you worrying that you'll lose me again. No matter what happens, or doesn't happen, tonight, I'm not going anywhere."

Sheldon licked his lips. "Amy, I want to show you how important you are to me, and not because I'm worried I'll lose you. I'm ready to take our relationship to the next level emotionally and physically."

"Good. I needed to be sure you're not doing this for the wrong reasons."

He tilted his head and studied her. "If you're not ready, I have other ideas for your gift. There might still be tickets to the Sheep and Wool Festival in Wisconsin."

"Sheep and Wool Festival?" Amy furrowed her brow. "Nevermind. I don't even want to know." She took his hands in hers. "I want to do this. I'm ready. I just had to be sure you were ready too."

He squeezed her hands. "I am. Now where were we?"

Amy leaned in, and Sheldon eagerly met her in the middle, crushing his lips against hers. His hands ran up and down her sides, sending shivers down her spine. When his fingers tangled into her long locks, she moaned, and he slipped his tongue in to meet hers. Her hands roamed all over his body, needing to feel every inch of him, as their tongues slid against each other.

Amy moaned louder when his hands slithered down her back, reaching for her bottom. She scooted closer, but it wasn't close enough for Sheldon. He picked her up and sat her on his lap so they faced each other. Her skirt rode up to mid thigh, and she attempted to tug it down.

"Leave it," he groaned hoarsely."

She obliged and was rewarded with his hands exploring the area just above the hem of her skirt. This wasn't the first time he had touched her thighs, but he had never dared to place his hands so high. In an even more daring move, one hand glided slowly past her hip, up her ribs, and stopped just to the side of her breast. She stilled as his fingers crept closer. As if he'd been scalded, he quickly retracted his hand. Amy hid her disappointment. Maybe he wasn't ready for something more intimate.

"I'm sorry," he murmured.

"It's okay if you're not ready."

He shook his head slightly. "No, I meant I'm sorry I tried to touch you that way before we made it to the bedroom."

"Then maybe we should head in there," she purred.

"Alright."

Amy slid off him and stood in front of the couch. Instead of following her lead, he whipped his phone out of his pocket.

"Sheldon, people have been having sex since the beginning of time. If they could figure it out, so can we."

"Penny already gave me some tips on pleasuring women, so I'm not concerned about that. I'm pulling up a nondisclosure agreement."

"Seriously?"

"I'm doing it to protect both of us."

She glared at him, hands on her hips. "From what?"

"Coitus is an extremely intimate part of a relationship. This contract will ensure that our sexual preferences and performance will remain confidential. If word gets out to Penny, it will be like our herb garden experiment all over again."

"Can't we just pinky swear that we won't discuss the details with our friends?"

He gave her an incredulous look. "I'm going to pretend my brilliant girlfriend didn't just suggest such a childish ritual."

"Sorry, but is this really necessary?"

"Yes. I will feel much more at ease knowing we possess a signed agreement ensuring that nothing we do tonight from this point forward leaves this apartment. The sooner we sign the contract, the sooner we can get on with your birthday festivities." He patted the cushion next to him and wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

She quickly accepted the proffered seat. "Where do I sign?"

He handed her the phone. "That's the spirit!"

Amy skimmed over the legal jargon, and she willed herself not to roll her eyes at all the 'whereupons'. At least the document was much shorter than any of their relationship agreements, or they'd be sitting on the couch fully clothed all night. She peeked at him from beneath her eyelashes. If signing this contract was all it took to finally get him into bed, she wasn't going to complain.

"This seems fair enough." She signed with her finger.

Sheldon enthusiastically plucked the device from her hand and added his signature. "Shall we?" He stood and held out his hand.

Amy steadied herself on rubbery legs. This was really happening. After more than five years, they were finally going to lose their virginity to each other. She entwined her fingers with his and couldn't help but sneak glances at him. He caught her gaze and smiled softly at her in the dim light. His smile was infectious, and she couldn't help but smile back.

She flipped on the bedroom's light switch and reluctantly released his hand as she raced around the living room to extinguish the candles. He waited patiently in the doorway, taking her hand again as they crossed the threshold. This wasn't the first time he had entered her room, but this time felt different. It felt electrifying, almost magical.

"Do you have an extra toothbrush?" He asked, breaking the spell.

"Yes, of course. My dentist always sends me home with too many." Allowing him some privacy, she paced around her room then sat on the edge of the bed with her hands folded in her lap, willing herself to calm down. Her hands, however, had a mind of their own. She fluffed the pillows for umpteenth time and tugged the corner of her already perfectly-placed comforter.

Sheldon emerged minutes later fully clothed. She was slightly disappointed but not surprised, since he hadn't brought an overnight bag. His hands caught her hips when she stood, and he pressed his lips to hers before they traded places.

"I'll be waiting," he murmured seductively.

Amy slipped past him and closed the door quietly behind her. She leaned back against it and placed her hand on her racing heart. With shaky fingers, she grasped her toothbrush. The familiar movement of her hand moving up and down calmed her slightly. Through the mirror she regarded the pale pink nightgown folded neatly on the towel shelf behind her. It was much shorter than anything else she owned, but it wasn't as racy as the ones her besties tried to convince her to buy. Still when she had tried it on that afternoon, she had felt so exposed.

"You'll be even more exposed when it comes off," a little voice inside her pointed out.

She had to steady her hand as it shook again. "Calm down, Fowler," she chided herself.

She slowly disrobed, first her cardigan, followed by her blouse, skirt, and tights. She eyed herself in the mirror, twisting left and right as she viewed herself from all angles. The silky undergarments, also new purchases, accentuated her perky breasts and round bottom. She had a love/hate relationship with her body and normally covered up with bulky sweaters, but at this moment she felt sexy. She just hoped Sheldon would take notice.

She slipped the garment over her head then back off again. As much as she loved her new bra, she decided it might be best to go without so Sheldon wouldn't struggle with the clasp to the point of frustration and kill the mood. Bra off and nightie on, she took one final look at herself in the mirror. It was time.

She cautiously turned the door handle and peeked through the crack. Her heart did a flip flop at the sight. Her boyfriend sat back against her pillows in a white undershirt, his lower half hidden beneath her floral comforter, looking so handsome and so innocent. For a few moments, she watched his eyes wander around the room. Finally finding courage, she revealed herself to him, and their eyes locked.

"Hi," she greeted shyly.

"Hello."
