A/N: This is my first fan fiction so go easy on me, but constructive criticism is accepted. This is just a one shot of what I think should have happened when Percy returned from Ogygia.

Disclaimer: Is my name Rick? No. It's Rose. Both start with "R" but still.

Percy POV:

After the experience I just had, I didn't think anything could be weirder. Gods was I wrong.

I walked onto the beach to discover that there was no one around. Cabins? No. Climbing wall? No. Sword arena? Nope. Dining pavilion? Nada. For some reason I hadn't noticed it yet, but there was smoke rising into the air at the amphitheatre. Let's go find her. I thought. I rushed over looking for one person in particular. Where is she?

I noticed to late that I had walked straight in and everybody was staring at me.

And then I saw her. Sprinting at me.

"Percy!" She yelled. Annabeth knocked me down with a hug. "Where have you been?"

" Um…I got stranded on an island and just swam back." I just tried to cover it up with a lie. Of course, she didn't buy it.

"Percy, you are the absolute worst liar." She said, the smile not leaving her face. "This conversation is not over."

"Ahem" somebody coughed. Only then did I notice that she was still lying on top of me.

Awkward. I sang in my head. A blush slowly spreading on our faces, we helped each other up. Once we were standing, Annabeth wasted no time pulled me into a bone-crushing hug.

"Percy, we will talk more later at the big house. As for right now, let's just recover from our shock that you are here for now.

"Yeah. Okay." I said under my breath. Annabeth pulled me by the arm to a seat next to her.

LINE BREAK-

After the campfire was over, Annabeth and I headed to the big house, Chiron following behind. Once we were there, Chiron said what I had hoped he would.

"I shall give you to some time to talk on your own." He didn't wait for an answer.

"Percy" Annabeth said in a shaky voice. I looked over in disbelief to see Annabeth with a tear streaking down her face.

"Annabeth, what's wrong?" I couldn't stand seeing her like this.

"Percy, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I was so worried. After that explosion, I didn't think there was any way that you could have survived. I found Heaphestus and he got the spider to direct me here. When I came out, Juniper found me curled up in a ball by Zeus' Fist sobbing. I didn't know what to do. I stayed strong in front of everybody, but on my own, I was a mess. I still had hope though. I just couldn't believe that… that…" She broke in to sobs. I did the only thing I thought to do. Comforted her.

"It-it's ok. I'm here we're alive. I made it back; you made it back. We both did.

"When you told me to go, I didn't think you'd make it. About the kiss…" She trailed off.

I'd been wondering about that. "I've been wondering about that." I voiced my thoughts. "Annabeth, do you-do you like me?" Please say yes. I thought.

"N-yes, Percy. Yes I do. And you had to at least know. That's the reason I kissed you. Based on the fact that you look like a tomato right now, I'm guessing that you feel the same way?"

"Yeah, I really do. I kind of freaked last winter when you got kidnapped. And when I thought that you were going to join the hunters." I confessed

"So what now?" Annabeth said.

"I don't know. But we'll do it together," I said while smiling. We grasped hands and interlocked our fingers.

"Well that was sweet. I guess the Aphrodite cabin was correct," said Chiron's voice.

A/N: Well I guess it was ok for a first. Like I said at the top, go easy on me but constructive criticism is accepted
