She's come to the realisation that those around Hher, whether they like Her or not, get hurt. It started all the way back when She was seven; She'd made friends with this one boy at school. Next thing She knew he had fallen off the jungle gym and broken his arm and leg. That was the first time She cried, blaming Herself for the 'accident'. She didn't believe it when they called it an accident, She just knew it was Her fault, She had let him get close to Her and he'd paid the price for it. It was then that She started to close Herself off to people, not letting anyone close to Her and shunning all but Tony.
Tony, Her dear brother, who paid the price for being so close to Her next. They were both older now, him seventeen and Her fifteen. He was trying to make up with his girlfriend, trying to tell her that he loved her. And She knew it was Her fault again when it happened. He may have been a twat at times but he always looked before crossing a fucking road, but not this time, not with Her so close to him. He never saw the bus coming, the bus which put him into hospital.
Then there was Pandora, naïve and ditzy Panda. Her first friend in ages and the blonde had been forced on her buy Panda made Her more human and completed Her in her own little way. She can't imagine her life without the blonde now but she's leaving now, leaving her best friend. Now she's realised what happens when you're around Her. She'd messed up her love life just by being her friend. Panda's life had been messed up so much and She blamed it on herself, everything She touched became rotten and bad.
Then there's Freddie, Her one massive fuck up. The first time She saw him She loved him and that had terrified Her. So She'd done what She always did, She ruined everything; She caused hurt and pain to those close to Her. She ruined his relationship with his best friends and with his girlfriend Katie, who promptly got a rock to the head for being Her friend. She messed him about every chance She got before She finally letting him in, letting him get closer to Her, forgetting about the past. She let him in and he paid the price, the ultimate price, Cook came to her after the part had died down. He'd come to her and told her what happened to their Freddie and about how Cook had taken his revenge on John Foster for murdering his friend. He'd gladly turned into a murderer and all because he had met Her.
That's when she realised it.
Realised what she was.
She is the destroyer of lives.
She is Effy Stonem.
