Just a Palletshipping one-shot I whipped up

Ash looked across the small town of Pallet from upon a hill. He breathed in the sweet air as he though how nice it was to be home. As he looked around him, Ash realised something: his legs had unwillingly taking him to the place he and Gary always used to go and play as kids.

"I wonder what Gary is doing now." Ash mumbled aloud, "I haven't seen him since Sinnoh!" The boy smiled. "Well, no matter where I going, it's always good to be home."

He heard a chuckle behind him.

"If you're that happy to be back in Pallet, go down to your mum's house."

Ash turned around as a grin broke out onto his face

"Gary? What are you doing here?" The raven enquired.

"Well, I just returned from Sinnoh and my legs seemed to walk me here I guess. You?"

"Same really."

A silence hung between them.

"Remember when we played here as kids?" Ash whispered.

"Yeah..." Gary looked at the ground for a moment before casually walking towards Ash. He took the younger boy by surprise by enveloping him into a hug.

"I've missed you Ashy-boy." Gary whispered into his shirt.

"Um... I've missed you too. But.. you were always so arrogant ,what happened?" Ash laughed.

"Well Ashy," Ash pouted at that, "YOU were the arrogant one in Sinnoh, taking charge. "He smirked, "I was simply an angel. And plus, whenever I called, Nurse Joy always said that you'd just left." Gary looked crestfallen at that.

Ash hugged Gary as an old spark of love and rivalry flickered inside him again.

"I missed you too."

Gary pulled away wearing his trademark smirk, although it look like he was trying hard not to smile. "Ash, I... um... wanted to say... something."

"I'M GIVING UP ON YOU!" Ash sang, "Sorry, I had to do that. Carry on."

Gary sniggered. "Ok then, I just wanted to say... Well... I love you."

Ash's heart beat a million times faster. Gary loved him. As in... Ash Ketchum. What? This was amazing! The ravenette didn't realise how long he'd been staring until Gary spoke up.

"Sorry if it creeps you out... I just had to tell you before we both start living in Pallet together. Is a small town you know."

He turned to walk but Ash's arm rapped round his neck and stopped him.

"I love you too! I love you too." Ash yelped. Gary's smile could of relit the Sun and added an extra 3 billion years on t o its life time. Ash just kissed him. Over and over. He wasn't leaving ay time soon.
