CHAPTER ONE

Draco Malfoy walked moodily through the halls of Hogwarts; he had come to the conclusion that the wizarding world was ridiculous. Apparently you had two choices he could either serve under the pathetic dark lord (the man who had been defeated by a baby), or Dumbledore a dotty old lolly obsessed fool.

Wow the options.

Then his father just decides to inform him his time is nearly up, that in a month's time he will be serving under the dark lords glorious banner.

He rounded a corner to enter a corridor that had a view out across the lake. Draco sighed the view never failed to calm him. He lent against the arch his eyes closed enjoying the cool night air against his face.

"Well, well, well, what have we here?" The husky voice sent a shiver down Draco's spine. It was so strange; he knew it was Harry Potter, the voice was undeniably his. But there was something about it he sounded almost predatory.

He spun to face the taller boy

"What do you want Potter?"

He looked different too.

His glasses where missing, and his eyes weren't right.

His irises where a deep bloody red. Draco got caught in those eyes and couldn't escape.

"What do I want Draco?" Harry took a few steps forward coming to a halt only when he stood right in front of the other boy.

"I can think of a few things" Harry reached out and ran a finger along Draco's jaw

A tremor passed through Draco's body Harry' hand was ice cold but somehow it made heat race through his body

"But there is one thing I want particularly bad, one thing I have wanted for a long time now"

Harry lent into Draco's neck and the smaller boy's eyes drifted shut

"I want you"

Draco's eyes shot open; he looked around him gasping as quiet as possible for breath. His dorm remained still, the boys in his dorm where excessively heavy sleepers thankfully. He fell back against his pillows

"What the hell was that?" he muttered

Draco dragged himself from beneath his beautifully warm blankets, when a day started off with a psycho dream like that couldn't possibly be a good one.

Morning's in the Slytherin common room where deceptively quiet, the morning's peace seemed to suggest innocence and tranquility but there was nothing innocent about it's inhabitants. Draco sat next to the fire watching it flicker, he thought there was something utterly depressing about how the Slytherin's hid their true personalities, their true intelligence. The Slytherin common room was the only place they where ever really themselves. There was no point trying to be friendly and witty around the rest of the schools population they had learned time and time again that, that would only bring them pain, so instead they settled for manipulating events from afar.

Blaise smiled lazily and waved Draco over. He was sitting propped up by a big squishy cushion with Pansy's head resting in his lap as she read.

"Morning Drake" he said tossing the paper to the blond who flattened it out and sat conjuring his morning coffee.

"You wont believe the dream I had last night…"

Pansy looked up from 'Pride and Prejudice' her interests peaked

He explained his dream as he stared moodily into the paper.

"Wow Draco that has to mean something" Pansy said clutching her book to her chest

"Of course it does," Blaise said with a wicked grin "It means our little Drakie is finally growing up"

Blaise dodged the coffee cup only to be hit on the head with (hardback) Austen.

"Maybe it's a prophetic dream" Pansy said her eyes glazing over as she imagined Draco wrapped in Harry's arms just like on a romance novel she read once. The boys scoffed and that was the end of the subject.

But the dream lingered on Draco's mind, he just couldn't forget feeling of the other boys skin against his own.

thanks for reading!
