A/N: So the inspiration for this came from the Netflix description of an episode of Sesame Street. I don't own Sesame Street, John, or Sherlock. The ending seems a little abrupt to me. Does is seem so to anyone else? Please review.
Their last case had closed three days ago, and John had spent those three days convincing Sherlock that he needed to eat. Finally, Sherlock had caved in and let John drag him to some restaurant or other. (He didn't pay any attention to what restaurant, mind you.)
They placed their order and waited. Sherlock stared at John, who kept glancing down at his shirt, wondering just what the detective could possibly be staring at. After about five minutes of Sherlock's staring, John asked, "What? What are you staring at, Sherlock? Is there something on my shirt?"
"John," Sherlock said. "What are those round things on your shirt?"
"Round …things?" John repeated slowly, not sure if he heard right.
"Yes, John. The round things on your shirt," Sherlock reiterated. He leaned across the table and poked the object in question.
"That's a button, Sherlock," John said quietly, shaking his head.
"Thank you," Sherlock said simply.
"You're welcome," John said.
"Here's your food, boys," the waitress said, setting two dishes of steaming food before John and Sherlock. "Enjoy!"
