Tranquil Sleep

Fast asleep am I

Drifting into the sky

As the world fades away

In my dreams I loyally stay

And as the harsh world disappears

So do I along with all my fears

All that ever mattered is now no more

The beautiful darkness consumes my core

I see far beyond that of the waking world

A place where unconscious thought is unfurled

I embrace this world as my own

Because the other chills me to the bone

This lovely tranquility will sadly never last

Into the waking world, I will soon be cast
