A poetic bit about the nine tailed fox speaking to and tormenting Naruto.

Kyuubi to Vessel

The chains that bind,

You and I,

Will never break.

I will always lurk within you,

Longing for freedom.

I hide within the shadows,

I wrap around your heart,

I'll give you a reminder,

Of those departed.

I cackle in your sleep,

And I growl in the night,

Gripping your heartstrings,

And yanking them tight.

I haunt your daydreams,

I surround your nightmares,

Drowning you in blackness,

Self hatred,

And fear,

I am the only soul that slinks and lurks here.

Your soul is my vessel,

Your body is too.

I am the monster,'

That is locked within you.

We are the same,

Soul,

Mind,

And heart,

We are the same,

And we never will part.

(A/N: I wrote this in Math class, where a good bunch of my poems come from. Thanks for the time to write, Mr. Reininger! I don't own Naruto, but I do always sing "fighting dreamers" in my head…and it gets annoying, dammit!)
