One day, in Brother Sister Production Tree House Studio...
A tall boy with red hair and glasses, known as McPieJeff or Jeff, formerly known as Dr. Tom ZX, climbed up the ladder toward the tree house. It was weird that his sister is in the tree house right now. It has been so long since she even visit the tree house, only when she was writing her fan fictions.
When he finally reached the top he walked inside the open door. "Kiko! Have you seen my- What in synchronization?!"
Inside the tree house was a mess. It was dark because the curtains were closed, pages scattered everywhere, mostly filled with ideas and plot lines, trash can filled with unfinished fan fiction, the computer was still on, and a certain purple haired girl was unconscious face down on the floor.
Jeff ran toward the fallen girl and knelt down. "Kiko! Are you dead?!" he shouted. He turned his sister over. She's still breathing but her eyes were in spirals.
"What happened to you?" he asked. The last time he saw his sister in this condition was after she spent a whole night working on their fan game.
TsukikoAyanosuke or Kiko, formerly known as AnimeLover TrueTrueTrue, weakly pointed at the computer. Putting his sister down gently, Jeff walked toward the computer and look at the screen. His eyebrow raised.
"Your profile?" he said. "Pretty dusty, I admit."
Kiko finally able to sit up and messaged her forehead "Look at the latest story I updated," she muttered. Jeff looked again at the screen.
"2018... Last year." He turned back toward his sister. "So what?"
"How long have I been gone?!" Kiko yelled to skyward, making Jeff nearly jumped out of his fictional skin. "I only started game making and realizing my love for writing a few days ago. Looking at all my fan fictions, I'm crushed!"
Jeff let out an annoyed sigh. "You're overreacting," he said, sitting next to a fuming Kiko. "Some people don't even update in five years."
"Being a writer is my side dream!" Kiko yelled in despair. "How can I be a writer if I can't even update my fan fictions?!"
"Not to mention all of your unfinished draft-"
"EXACTLY!" Kiko yelled, cutting off Jeff. She rested her head on her brother shoulder. "I'll never be a good writer if I'm like this."
Jeff sighed again. He never really get it when Kiko was passionate about writing. Mostly he just listen to her talks of ideas and convoluted timelines. At time like this, he'll just do what he do best: listening.
"I've been reflecting on myself. I think I know why I like to write fan fictions. It was the reviews, the favorites. I never truly get it about followers. But those thing make me want to write more. Then I lost interest, as usual."
"So what are you going to do about it?"
"I was thinking: maybe I should do something easier first, like a based on or inspired by fan fictions, since most of my fanfics are like that. When I'm finally fell like I can write original again, I'll do it."
Kiki then stood up, fresher than before. "And no more waiting for reviews. If I wait for them, I won't finish any of my stories!" She sat on her spiny computer chair.
Jeff also stood up and stood next to Kiko's chair. "And what fan fiction are you making now? It's a based on, right?"
Kiko nodded with a short "yup". Then she opened a new tab for... YouTube? She then typed something, and Jeff knew what she's searching, even when she clicked one of the video, he still couldn't believe it.
"SMG4... You're making a retarted novelization... of an already retarded series," he said as they watch Mario being naked while eating spaghetti. "Are you testing your sanity?"
"Nope. This is just practice. I'll try to update this every time I finished one episode. Not caring about the review, or the favorite, or the follower, or even the word count! Just write, write, and write!"
Jeff pinch the bridge of his nose, already tired. "Yeah. You do that."
Then Kiko spun her chair to face the reader.
"Alright guys, bellow here is a list of the chapter already written based on an SMG4 video. Happy reading!"
