One night the squad, Amanda, Olivia, Fin, Nick, and Carisi are all at the bar having some drinks and Amanda and Nick were flirting with each other back and forth. Fin looked at Olivia who was busy looking at Nick and Amanda flirting, he looked at the line of perception. Olivia looks at Fin who's looking at her. She clears her throat, "I gotta go to the bathroom." She gets up and quickly makes a beeline for the bathroom. Fin follows Olivia and stops her. "Hey," he says softly. "You okay?" Fin looks at her. "Yeah, totally. Why are you asking?" Olivia brushes off his question. "I see the way you were looking at Amanda. The last time you looked at someone like that was Alex." Liv chuckled softly. "I don't know what you're talking about," she turns to open the main door to the ladies room. "Liv," Fin says softly. "I need to go to the bathroom." Olivia says softly. She walks into the bathroom. Fin goes back to the area, rejoining his coworkers. "Hey, Liv okay?" Amanda asks. "Yeah she's fine." Fin lies.
The squad decides to call it a night. Nick and Amanda were the last ones to leave. Nick helps Amanda get up out of her chair. "Thanks Nick," she says softly. "No problem." He flashes a smile. They both walk out of the bar together. The crisp cold New York air hits them both. Amanda lights a cigarette, "goodnight Nick." She gives him a hug, holding her cigarette far from the both of them. Nick ends up kissing her. Amanda bites her lip after the kiss. "Wha- what was that for?" She blushes as she takes a couple of drags. "I like you and you like me… so why not?" He chuckled softly. "Mm you're right." "You uh.. You wanna come up to my place for a bit?" Nick asks. "Hm, sure!" She finishes her cigarette as she walks off with him. Olivia was in the shadows by the bar, watching Nick and Amanda walking together. She takes off to her car and sits there, overthinking. It causes her to tear up and she beats on the steering wheel several times before starting the car. She wipes away her tears and starts the car. Liv goes into her phone and makes a call. "Hey, it's me. Listen.. can you come over for a bit?" She says softly into the phone. "I'm around, I can pick you up." She hangs up and takes off. She arrives at an apartment complex and her friend gets in and takes off to her apartment. "Thanks for coming over… I just need a friend." "Well, it's been awhile and I'm glad you called me." The man says. "I've just had a lot going on to deal with and I'm sorry," she says softly as they head up to her apartment.
The next morning, Liv wakes up in her bed with Brian laying besides her. She sees him, and lays back down, "fuck." She mouths. She gets up out of bed to get ready for work, pretending that what happened last night never happened. That she didn't call up her ex Brian Cassidy for a night of a meaningless fuck. She arrives at work, Fin already at his desk. "Morning," she says to Fin. "Hey." He says from his desk. "Rollins and Nick not in yet?" She asks. "No, they should be here any minute." Speaking of the devil, the both of them walk in with the both of them lost in conversation. Liv locks herself in her office since it was a slow day of filing paperwork. Fin comes to the office door, knocking lightly. He cracks the door open, "hey Liv.." He says. "Come in, shut the door behind you." He does so.
"How you holdin' up?" He asks her as he takes a seat. "I'm- I'm alright thanks for asking." She continues to work. "Anything happen after leaving last night?" He noses around. "Well…," she falters. "Nick and Amanda hooked up and I called Brian."
"Liv..," he says concerned. "Listen it was my choice I needed a friend. It meant nothing." "You were hurt. You want her to be with you despite their almighty attraction for each other," Fin says to her
