Disclaimer: I forced Mori to talk. He told me to please step away from him or he'd have to use Kendo on me. Hani just giggled.

Long strokes carried her swiftly from one side of the pool and back. Her lap time was great and she was easily admitted into the swim team despite coming in mid school year. Toweling off her hair she realized a small group of girls giving her skeptical, measuring looks. She sighed, tired from the exercise but not enough to let anyone look at her funny and get away with it. She turned abruptly and faced the teenagers.
"When did I offend you? Is it my accent? Or maybe you feel threatened?" She rolled her eyes at that last part, not wanting to sound arrogant but merely sarcastic. She had seen them swim and they were really good. The girls looked amongst themselves, as though deciding whether or not to tell her the truth. Finally one of them sighed dramatically.
"We didn't mean to give you the wrong impression. It's just that you're new and we wanted to know if you'd be coming to the host club later. Mia said that you refused her invitation to attend last week, and we were wondering why would you do that?" Her eyes took on the glassy look of a fangirl. "They are so dreamy and kind and you just have to meet them. I wonder which one you'd like best. My favorite is Haruhi. He is just so… kawaii!"
The tall athlete started to shake her head halfway through the rant, little water droplets flying from her short, dark hair. "I'm not interested in having boys, who I've yet to even meet, try to woo me. Sounds awful to need to go looking for love in such a phony place." The girls just gaped at her. Or her back, anyway, since she was already moving into the changing rooms.

She was taller than most of the girls in the school, with the classic black Japanese hair, but gray eyes with just a hint of green. Lean, with just enough curves to be feminine but not enough to slow her down as she cut through the pool water as if she had been born in the chlorinated liquid. Her free time was partly devoted to swim practice and studying for her mathematics major. The rest was set aside to relax; relaxing for her was defined as hiking leisurely through the seemingly endless reserve that her father had behind their home.
That did not seem too odd to the Shadow King, though a girl in mathematics is never commonplace, but it was rather her friendship with Mitsukuni that surprised him. When he had announced that they would be receiving a transfer student, the host club had just nodded in acceptance. Then, he had mentioned her name and Hani's face had lit up in delight.
"Nagisha-chan? I haven't seen her in sooo long, ne Takashi?"
It was then that Kyouya was startled, a difficult feat in general, by the slight widening of Mori's eyes. "Hai." His tone was even as usual, but the small amount of surprise at her name was intriguing. He decided to investigate further.

A/N: Well, I've been wanting to write a Mori story even before I finished the Kyouya one. So... opinions? It's just a little snippet to get the idea out there. I'll be working on it over the weekend.
