~Remembering Nova~
Lightning crackled. This happened often in the docile town of Halloween Town. Normally, Angel would ignore the lightning and thunder and continue on with her duties as a town's Keeper, a person who protects the town and keeps them out of harm's way. But today, however, was unusual. Instead of its usual hectic streets and chaotic crowds, it was quiet, silent, and deadly melancholy…. more than a normal night in Halloween Town.
Angel walked up to an inn, not her typical routine, but in this case, she'd tolerate this awkwardness and continue, to ask why everything was so silent, when it should be so eventful. It being so close to Halloween and all, she was astonished that no one was around. She entered the inn and called out. "Hello? Answer me. This is your town's Keeper calling." she called, no one answered.
This made her livid. No one disobeyed her without consequence. She took out her Scythe and walked calmly to the inn's desk, she rang the silver bell and stood there. "Yes?" a man's voice answered for the ordinary girl's voice Angel so often heard when residing at the very same inn. She turned with velocity of a vampire and with keen eyes she scanned the waiting room. Her eyes landed on a figure sitting in a wine-red plush chair, reading a Hallows Eve Magazine. He was smirking at her, fanged teeth…. one word crossed her mind…Vampire.
"Who are you…?" she watched him…his hair, as silver as the moon…she remembered that hair. His eyes were a deep scarlet… a bloody stain on what the future should have been between us. His cloak… it swirled around him like a ghost…his name flashed in her brain. He was…supposed to be dead, wasn't he? "N-Nova…?" Angel fell to her knees in pain…she wasn't suppose to experience this. She had not heart. She heard voices…so well known… "Miss Angel? Are you alright?" the innkeeper's daughter…
Angel looks up…the unexplained stranger…was gone.
