Julian stared in disbelieve at the young girl, lying in his arms, Blood pooled from the wounds in her abdomen, and her breath became raspy and more shallow with each shaky inhale. All he could do was stare. Stare at the young singer in his arms, stare at the boy standing in front of them, the knife he had used to kill his date still clutched in his fist.
They were just having dinner. A casual date, in a relaxed atmosphere. Really, Breadstix wasn't too great, but it was kind of nice, and not too far from both Lima and Westerville. They enjoyed the evening, laughing and teasing each other a little, before Julian walked her to his car, ready to walk her home.
And that was when the boy had jumped out, stabbing Rachel again and again. Julian couldn't see him properly, his face was hidden in the shadow. All he could tell was that he was tall, with broad shoulders.
Rachel had gasped in shock, bringing her hands to her wounds, shaking as she saw the blood upon them. She sagged, and Julian was barely able to catch her before she crashed onto the ground.
Still standing above them, the dark figure hissed "If I can't have him, so can't you... you won't take him away from me!" before he quickly vanished around a corner, taking the weapon with him. From the restaurant, some people quickly emerged, one calling 911 while he ran up to the two teenagers on the ground.
Rachel's head tipped backwards, her eyes still open but now dull. She had taken her last breath.
Behind the corner, the young dark haired boy took off his gloves and dropped the knife in one of the garbage bins before going to his car and driving off as he heard the sirens aproach.
