Mizari: I've been wanting to do this for a while. Now I can. The characters used for the American zodiac will be part of a future webcomic I might make in the future once I figure out how to do that. Well Here is my story~!

Disclaimer: I don't own Fruits Basket, but I own volume 8, 13, and 16.

Hatori huffed, a puff of visible air covering some of his sight. He looked around, noticing the wilt in the trees. Winter's getting close. His eyebrows narrowed a bit, though he has nothing against the season itself, just the feelings around it. He gave a low sigh.

He kept on walking, Momiji wanted a new notebook to help with his English and math so he decided (well after a few minutes of begging from the half German's side) that he would get it. Sadly, the child wanted a specific kind of notebook. One with.. Pink little bunnies. Though he didn't care if his cousin liked that kind of things, it was slightly awkward to have to ask the cashiers. Even though he was a stoic man, he was still a man with pride. He thought this as he walked into another general store.

The raven haired male cleared his throat, going up to the register. "Excuse me. Do you have any notebooks with a pink bunny print on it?" The cashier raised both of her eyebrows.

"Um, no. I don't think so." Hatori sighed again, guess he has to go to another store. That will be his last store, he's getting tired he should be at home to make sure no one gets horribly sick, he'll just say he wasn't able to get it and buy a random not-

"Excuse me. Is this what you were looking for?" He turned around, noticing a pink notebook in front of him.

Hatori raised an eyebrow, nodding slowly. "Thank you." He took the notebook, finally looking at the person who gave him the notebook.

The woman looked almost as tall as him, with waist length dark hair, it made her already pale skin lighter; she wore a large jacket probably for the cold and a scarf; but what drew Hatori to stare more at the woman was her eyes. They were chocolate brown normal color for many Asians but it had a strange glint in them, slightly pulling him in as if he feels safe with this woman.

He coughed into his fist. "Have we met?" The woman shook her head.

"No, I don't think so. I would remember an individual with your height."

True. Hard to forget tall people sometimes. "Forgive me, something about you feels strange. But if you say we never met then we probably didn't." the woman's mouth turned upwards a bit.

"My name is Sachiyo Kani."

"Sohma Hatori." Why is he giving his name to this woman, he probably won't see her again so it made no sense, but here he was saying his name.

Kani… That name sounds close to Kana.. Strange. As he was thinking, the woman disappeared from his sight. Making Hatori think more, why did he feel so comfortable? That was the main question going through his mind at the moment.

Mizari: I may have butchered Hatori's character… I never wrote for him.. :I Well review your thoughts, favorite if you liked it~
