Kim sat in the meadow out from the back woods of their new two bedroom apartment looking out at the night sky. She went there to just be alone. To be with him. Him as in her best friend since preschool who stood by her through the good and the bad, Him as her new fiancé, him as the only one who made her feel complete. "Ron will be home from work soon." Kim thought as she let the tears fall. She thought back of how her day went. How hard it has been. The hell she went through this morning at her appointment at the hospital this morning.

Dr. Pratt: "I'm sorry Ms. Possible. But the fetus isn't breathing anymore. I'm afraid you miscarried."

Kim felt like those words slapped her in the face. Her whole world was falling apart. How was she supposed to tell Ron? He was so excited when he found out he was going to be a father. They had plans for turning their guest room into their baby's nursery next Wednesday. Now those dreams faded along with their baby.

"Hey KP. Why are you out here so late"

Kim didn't say a word as she turned to look at her fiancé. The tears on her face is all Ron needed to find out what happened.

Ron sat in the meadow beside her. Kim berried her face on Ron's chest, soaking it with tears. All she could do was lay there on the love of her life and sob. She just let it all out. "It will be okay KP. I don't know when, but we'll get through this." Ron said to his beautiful future wife trying to comfort her.

Ron then got up and went back in the apartment. Leaving Kim alone in the meadow for a few minutes. He came back with a wooden rocking chair Kim's Nana gave to the couple for the baby. Kim thought Ron was going insane bringing that out here. Ron knew Kim didn't need to see anything that would remind her of the baby. Until she saw him set it down.

He picked up Kim in his arms. He cradled her as he sat down in the old rocking chair. He gently rocked her back and forth. Singing to her.

It's like a storm that cuts a path

It's breaks your will, it feels like that

You think you're lost, but you're not lost

On your own, you're not alone

I will stand by you

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

And you can't cope

I will dry your eyes

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

And I won't let go

It hurts my heart to see you cry

I know it's dark, this part of life

Oh, it finds us all

And we're too small to stop the rain

Oh, but when it rains

I will stand by you

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

And you can't cope

I will dry your eyes

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

And I won't let you fall

Don't be afraid to fall

I'm right here to catch you

I won't let you down

It won't get you down

You're gonna make it

Yeah, I know you can make it

'Cause I will stand by you

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

And you can't cope

And I will dry your eyes

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

And I won't let go

Oh, I'm gonna hold you

And I won't let go

Won't let you go

No, I won't

Kim was asleep by the time Ron finished singing to her. He got up and carried her to their bedroom in the apartment. He laid her down on their queen sized bed. He was about to go outside and get the rocker but a hand grabbed his wrist. "Please just keep holding me! Keep holding me Ron!" Kim said. Her sparkling green emerald eyes were bloodshot from all the crying. Her face was stained and wet from the tears. All Ron could do was listen to his fiancée and go to his side of the bed. Kim slowly crawled over to him. The couple just laid there, with no sounds but Kim's sobs and the sound of two hearts beating as one. It just took a few minutes for the sounds in the room change to two snoring couples.
