I just can't help but wonder…what did Edgeworth mean by that? What he said that time he was in the defendant's chair…

"That medium…was my mother."

"You mean you're…?"

Was he going to say, "You mean you're a medium too?" Or…?

Then, he goes and posts Maya's bail after she was held in contempt of court…

"He said he was moved by what she did."

Did he tell Gumshoe the truth? Did he really just want to return the favor?

I just can't help but to think, though, that he really listens to her whenever she criticizes him.

"Whoooooop! …I feel foolish."

Normally, Edgeworth just doesn't take criticism off anybody. And particularly not back then…

Not to mention, he really went over the edge when DeKiller took her hostage...

"What does the kidnapper want?"

And after to preaching to me about thinking long and hard about trying to pin that one on Ms. Andrews…

"The prosecution…rests."

And, of course, the man who'd rather slit his own writs than be honest about his feelings…

"Maya, I'm relived you're alright."

I just can't help but think what a jerk he was to Maya…up until that moment.

"That medium…was my mother."

I just can't but wonder why Edgeworth is so particularly soft on Maya…

I just can't help but wonder if…

"Nick!" Maya suddenly blurts. "Where would you ever get an idea like that?"

"Oh, you heard that, huh?" I grin sheepishly.

"Well, it was kind of hard to miss!" She cried.

"Don't read into it. It was just an idle though," I insist.

"Right, whatever," she mutters.

Finally, there's Maya's non-existent father and Edgeworth's non-existent mother…and how does a master become involved in something like DL-6 anyways?

"Drop it, Nick…"

"Alright, alright," I sigh. "Like I'd ever really believe that you and Edgeworth are siblings…, but so long as we're on the subject, what can you tell me about your dad?"

"Nothing much, he died when I was a baby," Maya states.

Like, around December of 2001?

"NIIIIICCCCK!"
