Disclaimer: Unfortunately, I do not own Harry Potter

A/N: This story takes place at the end of Ginny's 7th year.

He couldn't believe it.

He had finally done it. Voldemort was dead for sure. No more Horcruxes. No more lying low. No more moving from place to place. No more wondering if he would live to see tomorrow. He had finally won.

Ron and Hermione were off chasing Death Eaters into the hands of the ministry. Harry smiled at this thought. Ron and Hermione could finally be together. He and Ginny could finally be together.

Ginny. He had to leave, to find her. Tell her the news. Tell the whole world that Voldemort was dead.

He immediately disapparated to Hogsmede, outside of Madame Rosmerta's. She saw him apparate outside of her window. Then she saw the multiple cut, bruises, and scars from Harry's two years of work finding all of the Horcruxes.

"Harry, what's wrong?" she asked running out of the door, " Are you okay?" she asked with sincerity in her voice.

" I'm perfectly fine. He's dead," Harry told her, but didn't stay long enough to hear her reaction. All he heard as he ran towards Hogwarts was cheering. Cheering that had been wanting to get out for the past three years.

Harry continued to run to Hogwarts, forgetting about the agonizing pain that it caused him. He had to tell her, no matter what.

Harry banged on the door to the castle. Professor McGonagall opened the doors. " Mr. Potter, we need to get you into the Hospital wing," she said worriedly, looking at his terrible injuries. But he ran through her, not listening. " Mr. Potter, get back here!"

He ran up several flights of stairs. The students were pointing, whispering, gawking at him. What could possibly be wrong now? They all wondered.

Harry finally reached the portrait of the fat lady. " Password please!" The lady in the portrait said before he tried to go through.

" How am I supposed to know the password?" he shouted at her.

" Well, don't yell at me, it isn't my fault, but I still cant let you in without a password, " she retorted.

Harry looked around the now empty hallway to find someone to give him the password. He heard a crash and looked around to see what had happened. Then he froze. There she was.

Her books at were at her feet. She had stopped dead in her tracks. Her eyes glistening. She ran towards him, jumping over her books. She ran into his open arms. He held her as she sobbed into his bruised shoulder. It had been a year since he last held her, but she still felt just the same.

" How long can you stay?" Ginny asked, while still half sobbing.

" I don't have to leave,'" he replied tenderly. She looked up at him. "It's over now." A huge Grin spread across her face, but it was quickly replaced by a look of concern.

" You need to get you to the hospital wing,' she said worriedly, finally looking at his injuries from head to toe.

"On one condition," he said.

"What?" she asked.

"You'll marry me." She leaned in and kissed him. After they broke their kiss, Harry looked at her and asked, "So I take that as a yes?"

"Of Course."
