M.P. - Yes, never jump on someone wearing one unless you know for certain that they like anime or manga or both.
"Now listen here Rin. Sesshomaru-sama(1) is important why?" Jaken bounced lively on the wooden platform.
"Master(2) Jaken. I already know why Sesshomaru-sama is important. I don't get what this has to do with his hair." Rin responded, hands clasped together on her lap.
If Jaken wasn't upset before, he was now.
"First, Sesshomaru-sama does not have pretty hair! His hair can only be described by words such as 'sexy' or 'elegant'. Not with some common word like" Here he shuddered in disgust, "pretty."
"But, those are words which have not latched onto your vocabulary yet. Now we shall continue."
"Yes Master Jaken." Rin tried not to roll her eyes at the green demon's over compulsive behavior. Poor Rin. How was she to know that a complimentary word such as pretty could not be applied to Sesshomaru? Now because of her foolish choice of words she was stuck with Jaken in a clearing being taught the basics of elementary English.
"Now, normally pretty is associated with females; it is not to be used for the male population." Here he paused again and stared at Rin with his bug eyes. "I can assure you that Sesshomaru-sama is a male, regardless of how pretty he may look. Now what else makes Sesshomaru-sama important? Rin?" he gestured towards his pupil with a stick, looking strikingly like a few modern day teachers. Rin really wanted to know where he got that stick from.
"Well Rin? Hey! Are you paying attention!" Jaken stomped his stubby leg against the platform and continued pointing his stick.
"Yes Master Jaken." Onyx eyes focused intently on the raging munchkin. Rin was also curious to why a platform was built in the middle of a clearing and than abandoned. (3)
"Good. Give me one reason why Sesshomaru-sama is important." Spoken demandingly.
Blink, blink. "Well, is not Sesshomaru-sama ruler the Western Lands?"
"Yes, that is correct Rin. People should bow down and kiss the ground he walks on! When Sesshomaru-sama beats his half-brother than that will show them. Hmph, mutts stronger than a pureblood? I think not!"
At this time Jaken began a long rambling session. Of course, Rin being Rin, decided that the bubbling stream nearby was more fun than a sickly green demon rambling on about hair.
(1) And (2) The reason why Sesshomaru-sama has 'sama' and is not referred to as 'master' like Jaken is to keep the characters in character. I was told that 'sama' means lord. Rin normally calls Jaken, Master Jaken while she calls Sesshomaru, Lord Sesshomaru.
(3) Don't you just love it when random things appear out of nowhere?
Jaken's Rant:
Do not call Sesshomaru, Fluffy-sama, Sessy-chan, or any other of those ridiculous names that you foolish authors and authoresses think up! It defiles my good Master's name! Hmph, who ever heard of the name Fluffy puppy being suitable for a strong and powerful ruler!
