"Damn it!"
Bobby swatted at the box that was just above his reach, his fingertips brushing the edges of the cardboard. He grunted and stood on his tip toes, arm outstretched as far as he could go.
The box remained stubbornly in place.
"God damn it!"
He looked around, spotting a rusty chair in one corner. He dragged it over, grimacing at the dust that covered it.
"You could ask for help," a voice called from the doorway.
Bobby wobbled on the chair. He turned his head, glaring. "I don't need help."
Jack crossed his arms over his chest. "Uh huh. That's why you're perched on chair?"
Bobby resumed reaching for the box. "Who the hell put this up so high anyway?" he huffed.
"I did," Jack shrugged.
"On the top shelf?" Bobby's nose itched from the dust on the shelves.
Jack slid his arms around Bobby's waist, steadying him. "Just admit you need help sometimes," he chuckled.
"I don't!" Bobby all but growled. Jack helped him down and moved against his back, his head resting on top of Bobby's.
"Stubborn ass," he murmured.
Bobby tilted his head up and kissed him, his annoyance at his height forgotten just then.
