Kid Flash ran through the streets of Central City. The rogues had escaped from prison. Again.
Seriously, does Iron Heights even have any security?
He ran up on top of a building, and looked down. He saw several men unloading equipment into a building, led by Mirror Master. He got out his communicator, which is a fancy term for a cell phone connected to Flash's Justice League Communicator.
"Bar-uh-Flash?"
"Yes? I a bit-"
Wally thought he heard an explosion.
"Busy right now. Is there something you need?"
"I found Mirror Master."
"Stay there. I'll be there soon. Don't engage him, don't lose track of him."
"You sound like you need help over there."
"I've got this. Just keep track of Mirror Master."
He put the phone away.
Yeah, I guess I should do what he says. I just need a moment to remember the last time I did something just because I should've.
He jumped down, and ran at the building, only to collide into a brick wall. Realizing that the building was an illusion, he felt around for the real door, but found none.
He turned around, and saw nothing but a brick wall on that side of the street. He ran his hand across the one on his side, and realized it felt like the one opposite him should.
Therefore, if the one on my side looks like a door but is just a brick wall, then the other one, which looks like a brick wall, must be the door. Clever, Mirror Master.
He walked through the door, only to be met by roughly ten different Mirror Masters. Whatever the building had been, it was unrecognizable, lined with mirrors. There was some furniture and machinery scattered about, but the room was mostly empty except for the Mirror Masters.
"I was expecting the real flash. I suppose you'll suffice for a warm-up."
Wally began rapidly vibrating his hands.
"I'll show you a warm-up."
The Mirror Masters drew their mirror guns.
"Which one of us?"
One passed through a chair and disappeared.
"Why not all of you?"
"Because if you choose wrong, you'll find yourself in another dimension."
Wally stood still for a moment, waiting for one of the Mirror Masters to slip up and give away that he was the real one.
"Gotcha."
He ran forward and tried to grab the mirror gun away from one, but all of them disappeared. Wally ducked as a mirror sailed overhead.
"Didn't consider that they were all fake, did you?"
Wally dodged another mirror.
"On the contrary."
He ran over to the now-revealed Mirror Master and took away his gun.
"I was counting on it."
He punched Mirror Master, knocking him over.
"I knew that the fake yous would be slightly behind the real one. Not noticeable to most people, but I would've spotted it. All of your illusions were exactly in sync. So, none of them were real."
He dragged Mirror Master outside, just as Flash ran up to them.
"Sorry about that, Wally, I – I thought I told you to wait!"
"So you did. By the way, I captured Mirror Master."
Barry laughed.
"Alright, you win this time. But seriously, next time wait for me."
"Sure, boss."
"Would you two just shut up and take me to prison? I can't take any more of this."
