He finds her in the bathroom of the Aphrodite cabin, well over fifteen minutes late for breakfast.

She's mumbling and cursing in Greek and despite her bad mood she's still as cute as always. A hairbrush has just won the battle with the last snarl in her hair and now she's toying around with it, flicking and twirling strands here and there. It's definitely grown longer; a good three more inches than it was back in December on their quest.

Her voice interrupts his thoughts.

"I just don't know what to do with it anymore. As much as I love it, I'm getting a little bit sick of the 'crazy tiny braids all over' look."

Her shoulders slump and he can easily detect the frustration in her kaleidoscope eyes. He has yet to make up his mind on what color they truly are.

"Try a single braid."

The words leave his mouth before he realized he spoke them. It was almost on instinct, as if something inside of him dominantly told him that he liked the way a single braid looked.

Piper looks at him quizzically for a moment, and then ponders the idea. Her fingers are soon weaving the choppy chocolate brown hair into a braid and after she bands it with a hair elastic, she flips it over so it rests as a side braid between her neck and shoulder.

She studies herself in the mirror for a moment. Piper tries extremely hard to hide the Aphrodite side of her, but Jason catches a glimpse of it peeking through every now and then. However, Piper is pretty darn good at catching herself when she goes into girly mode, and this time is no exception.

"I like it," she decides.

"Me too."

She gives a satisfied nod and a smile to her boyfriend, who is leaning casually against the bathroom doorframe with an equally supportive smile spread across his face.

So he takes her hand and they walk to the dining pavilion together. She smiles, and he tries his best to as well, but he can't get over the deep feeling in his gut that it was wrong.

Wrong to see a set of darker hair and dark eyes in that bathroom instead of Piper
