Hey hey daddy, give me palm wine!

Hey hey maame, hey hey maame!

I can't forget the taste,

Of the kontomire(1) I ate before!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

My name is Ghana!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

Looking closely, there's Earth!

Or maybe it's Earth?

My name is Ghana!

Ah, a fabulous world,

That can be seen with a swipe of a paintbrush,

My chocolate never melts!(2)

It's specially made!

("We cook all day, then we party all night!)

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

My name is Ghana!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

Suddenly, there's Earth!

Lie on your back, there's Earth!

My name is Ghana!

Ah, with just some needles,

We can make kente cloths(3) of the sky!

("Make sure you have lots of fufu(4), too.")

Please remember the many stories

Of Anansi(5)!

Hey, hey, nua(6), let's cook some goat!

While you're at it, nuabaa(7), also make rock buns!

Yo, yo, nanabea(8), you can rest!

Yes, yes, abofra(9)(let me put you on my back!)

Here, here, daddy, give me palm wine

Hey, hey, maame, hey, hey, maame!

I can't forget the taste,

Of the kontomire I ate before!

My soccer teams

Cannot be beat!

We are the Black Stars!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

Draw a circle, there's Earth!

My name is Ghana!

Ah, a fabulous world,

That can be seen with a swipe of a paintbrush,

My chocolate never melts!

It's specially made!

Ah, throughout the world,

Sleeps the recipe of happiness

My chocolate industry dominates the world!

Hetalia!

Suckish lyrics are suckish... *3*

Anyway...this is the Marukaite Chikyuu for Ghana! As a Ghanaian (more or less), I wanted to present what I would think of her.

And... no one really cares about the African nations... (sad face)

ANYWAY...

(1) A Ghanaian dish made of spinach

(2) This is true. Ghanaian chocolate is prepared in such a way as it doesn't melt in the humidity.

(3) A traditional Ghanaian cloth. It's kind of like the stereotype of African clothing.

(4) A Ghanaian dish. Kind of like mashed potatoes, only more solid. Made of pounded cassava or plantain.

(5) Anansi is a spider and the subject of many Ghanaian fables.

(6) brother

(7) sister

(8) grandma

(9) baby

Nation Profile

Country Name: The Republic of Ghana

Human Name: Akosua Abigail Johnson (Akosua is the Akan name for 'born on Sunday', which according to the lovely Wikipedia, relates to 'universe')

Birth Date: March 6th, 1957

Age Appearance: 21

Hair Color: Black

Eye Color: Dark Brown

Hairstyle: Either straightened and cropped short, or highlighted cornrows

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 160 lbs

History: She was discovered by English soldiers and taken to England's house in 1821. She was used for her abundance in minerals and cocoa. She and England fought against each other in the four Anglo-Ashanti wars and the War of the Golden Stool. India became her best friend, and she was unwittingly 'forced' to be mommy to baby Sealand in the early 1900s (not historical). She eventually gained independence as an English commonwealth in 1957 through diplomacy. She became a full republic in 1960.

Side Note: This character of mine will be paired in England in future stories. The reason I like it is because it's kind of Stockholm Syndrome-ish and more psychological than anything.

You good? All happy? All your ducks in a row? Great! I'm new to Hetalia, so hopefully you'll be seeing more of my stories soon!

Okay, I love you, kthxbai!
