Month One

"Are you sure this is going to work, Lily?" Said Severus.

"Of course it is! James will believe anything I say, no matter how I say it." Replied Lily.

"But I don't know how to act like you. "

"Act like what?"

"You know, when you take a dose of Polyjuice Potion, you don't get that person's personality traits or voice, just the looks."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that."

They both looked at each other and laughed, imagining each other in the other person's shoes.

"We'll for SURE trick James." Said Lily, a few giggles still etched on her face.

"I think we will, too. Now what's the next ingredient again? Oh yeah." Said Severus as he added four unsucculated leeches to the potion.

"Ewwww." They both said in unison, but ended up laughing together anyway.

Month Two

"This potion is starting to smell really…bad." Said Severus.

"Yeah. Like dirty socks." Replied Lily.

"It looks like the picture, though." Said Severus, trying to find something positive about drinking this glop.

"Yeah, at least they're both brown in color."

"But imagine the look on James's face when I tell him off…looking like you!"

"And imagine James trying to hex me but ending up in confused in the Slytherin dormitory all tied up. He'll never know what hit him!"

Severus and Lily laughed some more after they kept adding more disgusting ingredients to the potion.

"Hey, how did you get all of these ingredients, anyway?" asked Severus.

"Let's just say Professor Slughorn REALLY likes me." Replied Lily.

Month Three

"I think it's almost finished, Lily. We're down to the last ingredient."

"You're right, Severus. Almost finished. Next week it should be ready for us to drink."

They both shuddered.

"Okay. You know the plan, right? Only talk when you have to and DON'T be afraid to piss James off."

"Oh, I won't!" replied Severus. "Hey, Lily, just a quick question. What's the point of this, anyway? Not that I'm not a fan on getting back at James, I just want to hear your insight on it."

"Oh, I'm just wanting to have a little fun with my very best friend." Replied Lily with a true smile on her face.

The Next Week

"Haha! It's like looking in a 3D mirror!" exclaimed Lily.

"Yeah!" exclaimed Severus. "Okay so shall we go?"

"Yeah, James is usually in the common room right about now."

The two friends walked together all the way to the common room, explaining their tactics to one another. When they arrived in the common room, Lily (actually Severus) was the first to act.

"Hello James! How are you today?" said Severus in his best girly voice.

"Hey there Lils. Everything was pretty boring until you walked in." said James, being serious.

Severus (actually Lily) was stifling her laughs in the background.

"Hey Snivellus! Where did you come from? No one invited you to the Gryffindor Tower!" yelled James as he took out his wand and sent a hex straight to Lily. But she was too fast. She blocked the hex, disarmed James, and sent him a Bat Bogey hex.

"Ewww. That's IT Snape! Jelly-Legs Jinx!"

Again, Lily was too fast for James. She sent the hex right back to him. Severus laughed and stepped over James. He walked over to Lily and took her hand.

"Nice job 'Severus!'" he said with a wink.

"No problem 'Lily.'" She said, winking back at Severus.

"Wait, Lils. Come back! What was that for?" exclaimed James.

"Piss off, Potter!" yelled Severus as he flipped the bird at James.

"Wh-What? Lily? What did I do?" said the appalled James.

Lily and Severus just laughed and exited the common room right as the last of the Polyjuice Potion was wearing off, knowing how much the long wait was totally worth it.
