An Encounter
The two bandits laughed as they rode through the forest, bags of coins jingling on their saddle.
"Them Rangers won't get us here." The leader of the two laughed even harder throwing his head in the air, too busy to notice the figure perched on an nearby oak.
The figure knelt down on the branch behind the tree trunk to avoid being seen. Hearing whatthe bandits thought the mysterious figure couldn't help but let a smile
touch their lips. That's because it's not a Ranger that will be getting you this time. The individual thought in their head. With that said (In their head of course) the
figure leaped from tree branchto tree branch matching the timing of the movement with the wind rustling the leaves. When the bandits, still celebrating their victory,
realized someone had found them it was too late.A whip with an end hardened with wax shot out of trees missing the leaderby inches. The figure behind the tree
cursed quietly. The two bandits stopped their horses and drew out their knives. They spun around back to back slowly scanning the tree line for the attacker. When
the leader had his back turned to his follower another whip shot out hitting it's target. The bandit tumbled off his horse and his leader spun around. The first whip
shot out once again behind the leader, this time hitting it's mark. The leader toppled off his horse as well. He just had a short glimpse of his attacker before the world
faded into darkness. What he saw was a pair of amber coloured eyes and the obsidian black yes of an owl pendant that hung around the attackers neck.
I think I may add on to this if I have time. Can you guess who the attackers are? Okay, maybe not, this chapter is pretty short. I'll try to add more over the weekend.
