Donna burst through the door of his room. "Good morning! Don't mind me, just need your hairdryer," she said, heading for his dresser.

The Doctor stood, frozen in place, one leg in his trousers, his dancing banana boxers on full display. "Don't you knock?" She was wearing a short robe and her hair was wet, hanging around her shoulders. He could smell the faint scent of her shampoo. His eyes followed her legs down to her bare feet, then snapped back up to her face. He tried not to look guilty.

"You're always bursting in on me, aren't you? Figured it was fair to return the favor." She looked over her shoulder at him with a grin. He saw her eyes flick down to his half-on trousers before she turned away. He quickly finished pulling them on, and set to work on his tie. His fingers seemed clumsy.

"Anyway, where's your hairdryer?"

"It seems to have become part of the wall. I'm assuming your ship is to blame for that."

"My ship?"

"She nicks things – didn't you know? My hairbrush is part of the console, and I think there is coral growing around my hatbox. What she wants with the hatbox, I've no idea." She finally found his hairdryer on the dresser, and turned around.

He swallowed. "Coral. On your hatbox." He kept his eyes on her face.

"Yes. It looks kind of pretty."

"The TARDIS is stealing your things?" He could hear the ship humming in his mind.

"She's your ship, I can't explain it."

He chuckled. "I think she likes you." He was still fiddling with his tie.

"Really? Well, that's nice, isn't it? I like her, too." Donna stepped up close to him. "Here, hold this." She handed him the hairdryer, and quickly straightened his tie for him. "There you are," she said, patting him on the chest, before retrieving the hairdryer. "I'll be right back."

She was already out the door before he managed to say, "Thanks." He was still standing there when her head appeared in the doorway again.

"Oh, and I'm pleased to see you put your trousers on one leg at a time, like the rest of us," she said with a wink, and then she was gone again. It was going to be a long day.
