There was the unmistakable sound of a sharp twang, like an arrow being released from the string and then the pain filled his already pounding head. The razor-sharp smell of his own blood tainted his nose as he went under.

"Father," he gurgled, trying to stay above float, "Help, heal me." He said feeling the water seep into his cuts. As if the ocean was listening to his father say no, the waves threw him from side to side. A sharp impact shattered him completely from life. It was an old rock that he had hit, which caused him to free fall into the Underworld.

He could still hear faint murmurings that should have been yells as the sea washed him near the shore.

"What did I just hit?" he heard his lover say. "Tell me, now Phoebus." She growled. He could see her standing next to her twin shouting at him. Her silver eyes flashing, her glaring at her twin who was acting as if nothing happened.

"It was a person. Some swimmer." He said. Artemis beat his arm, hard.

"Who was it, Apollo, his name." she said, he could see her grit her teeth and her auburn hair swaying in the wind. But the photo that was the most lucid in his destroyed mentality was the one of her moonlight eyes squeezing shut every few seconds trying not to let the wintery tears to come seeping down.

"Your arrow pierced Orion." Apollo said hitting the final blow to the huntress's heart. "Sis-" Artemis was walking down to the shore and turned in her tracks. She walked back to Apollo and pushed him down to the ground.

"Feel the pain Apollo, because you just brought a whole lot more." With that she rushed to the shore and sat in the sand awaiting him to wash upon the shore. The sea was still tossing Orion back and forth scarring him before gently delivering him to the sandy shore where a young girl of about twelve sat there awaiting him. She pressed a clammy palm to his forehead. The silver tears leaking down and with a small splash they landed on his cheek.

"Orion, my dear Orion." She cradled his head in her lap and let the sobs rack her chest leaving her breathless. Apollo watched from a distance feeling regret take him over; it was for her safety he assured himself though Apollo knew he had done it for a few other reasons as well. "You better be happy Apollo. You are a murderer." Artemis hissed out knowing her brother was still there. "Murderer." she snarled the words piercing Apollo's mind and spirit. Her hands brushed away Orion's black hair from his face and she whispered a few words an ancient prayer in ancient Greek for safe passage to Hades. Small blue and white orbs shimmered in front of Artemis. The rose into her cupped hands. The stars in the sky flew down as if Artemis was flying up into them. There was a small blank spot in the sky.

"Release them, he will forever stay there." Poseidon's voice swam in her head like the whispering of sea gulls on the morning breeze. Artemis shaking did as she was told and the formed the image of Orion the hunter into the sky. Artemis lay back onto the sand tears still falling for she would never forget Orion, Son of the sea god.
