Darwin had always loved Gumball. Ever since they became friends, he couldn't stop thinking about him.
So when Gumball and Penny started dating, he got jealous. But that was only natural, right? After all, he had known and fallen in love with Gumball way before Penny did. He deserved him more than her.
From the corner of his eye, he noticed Gumball and Penny immersed in conversation. Penny had her arm wrapped loosely around the blue feline's waist, gently pulling him closer. Gumball turned around, his face adorned with the most elated of expressions. They were facing each other now, gazing into one another's eyes, slowly moving nearer...
Darwin turned away, not wanting to see anymore. He already knew Gumball loved him as a brother, but it just wasn't the same. He could've confessed, he could've made all this pain go away. But it was too late now. He fixed his gaze downward as he silently cried.
Well, I'd say that went pretty good for my second fanfic ever. What do you guys think? Let me know please :)
