A/N what's up, people? So writing fanfiction is a lot different than college essays lol. I'm good with certain types of writing. Ha Dialogues a bitch. This is changed to a one shot. I cannot give my idea's justice until I get my flow in this art. I'm gonna go practice and learn how to improve my skills. Maybe on day I'll revisit this story and make it a multi-chapter fanfic. Hope you enjoy the oneshot. Thanks, guys :)

Disclaimer: Naruto is not and will never be...mine T.T

The sun lay hidden behind the full trees of Konoha. Soft shades of blue and pink faded out into a brilliant orange. Jade eyes stared at the natural beauty before her. Her shoulder-length hair blew slightly in the evening breeze. The young girl sighed. Her thoughts contrasting; both hopeful and melancholy.

This reminds me of you.

Haruno Sakura sat on a stone bench, her mind her only companion. She couldn't help but think of her long lost teammate during these quite moments away from the busy bustle of the hospital. To be honest it was hard to get any time alone lately. The village was in the midst of repair, Tsunade had awoken from her coma, and war was on the brink. But when there was nothing but the silence, Sakura found herself consumed with worries, studies, and him.

His stupid smirk, His stupid memory. It really wasn't fair. He was the one who made her fall in love! Sure, Sakura was the one who acted on her childish crush, but she never imagined what love really could be. She never knew you could love someone from the inside out. From their perfection, to their most beautiful flaws.

But she did. She loved his confidence, his looks. More importantly she loved his insecurity, his sensitivity to the mention of family, the parts of himself he considered "weak". Sakura wasn't sure when things changed. Something pivotal took place in their time together and their time apart.

As Sakura stared into the vast sky, she realized a person cannot choose who they love. She was just lucky that she found him attractive when she was young. She stumbled upon her soul mate not by choice, but by fate. She knows this because he is everything to her, despite her meaning nothing to him. She knows this because she wishes she could hate him. But she cannot. She cannot choose to forget him. She cannot choose to let him go. She is bound by a promise her heart made when she was twelve. That promise only grew as her soul matured.

Sakura sits at their bench because it is reminder of what he used to be; a teammate, a friend. And also of what he still is, her true love.

Sakura sits and waits for the final moments of the sunset. She sees the blue and pink fade away, the orange begin to dwindle until all that is left is darkness.

"No matter how long it takes, I will wait for a sunrise, Sasuke-kun."

A/N Thank you, guys! Damn, it's always so short on here lol. Anyway, reviews are loved, always 3
