As the rain falls
Dripping sorrowfully against the window pane
My heart's tender scars are ripped open
And the pain flows down my face in teary, crimson rivers
It wasn't long ago
When my innocence was torn from me
I was forced to live in the light of war
Believing that fighting off my sorrow could set me free
As much as I tried
I couldn't lift my wings
And fly from my problems
Instead, I spent my life living in darkness
However, during one fateful battle
His shining emerald eyes and bright words
Pierced my heart as my foil pierced his side
With his painful breath, he somehow led me into the light
Now, I find myself lost and alone
Leaning against this cold window pane, washed in somber raindrops
Dreaming of him, and the day when he changed me
Only wishing that I could find him once again
